March 13th 2011 Fiesta time on the Wonder!

Moving? Yeah, that's pretty crazy a week before vacation. Maybe you should pack your bags now so you won't lose anything. Definitely lots to do here as well. We're trying to buy a car this week. Schedules, work, activities........

My GF and I are finally getting a house together and we are only moving her stuff this weekend. My move will be when I get back so I don't have to worry about losing anything before the cruise :)

Yes, for the whole group at 3, cheerleaders are just a bonus :rotfl:.

One of my clients on this cruise broke her foot and ankle :scared1:. I'm so worried about her...not sure what is going to happen. I'd be so sad if they weren't onboard :sad2:

On our last Disney cruise our DD had a severe sprained ankle (from a trampoline) and she was not able to work the crutches so she was in a wheelchair and Disney was awesome!! They gave us a wheelchair to use and we were the FIRST family to board the ship! They were totally helpful and very accomodating!!

Sorry guys...of course the meet is for everyone at 3pm Promenade Lounge. Just if you have a daughter that is going to participate in the talent show please try hard to make it. Hope to see everyone there!

Sorry everyone is sick, but just be so glad that it is this week and not next! I would almost welcome any illnesses this weekend so we can get over it before we leave! Bring it on Germs!! No hand washing for us this weekend and I think we will go rub our hands on a Wal-Mart shopping cart a few times..LOL!!! :rotfl:

Right now my DD is getting over a sprain to her growth plate (from a backtuck gone wrong) and last night she decided to fall off of a chair and smack her little face right into the corner of a wall so if it has not healed before we see you please do not think that I beat her!! :rotfl2:

I agree that we should all invest in some bubble wrap..especially for my accident prone munchkin!!

DD just sent me a text from school....she said, "I really don't feel good!" I said sorry, tough it out. We have to save our sick days for our vacation!! We can't miss school when we are sick :lmao: I know, bad mom, oh well. I do promise to take the whole family to the doctor Tuesday if they aren't feeling better by then. Just line us up and give us shots!! :)

I know that it is the pollen and is effecting my family. Hopefully the rain this weekend will help that.

It looks like it will be in the low 70s next weekend in CA~! :woohoo:

There is a Palo res for Day 7 at 7pm available right now. I would have taken it, but I think that is when the guest talent show is.

That was my canceled reservation! Once everyone pointed out my error in when formal night is, I jumped on the open night 3 reservation because we actually WANTED to be in Palo on formal night. Hope someone else on these boards was able to grab our old reservation time if it helps them sort out scheduling issues! :)

I know how you feel, it most likely is allergies, Eliza has been under the weather for 3 days, stuffy head, headache, no fever...the pollen count according to the weather.com for my zip code is in the danger zone! This wind whipping everything up doesn't help..I may have to break down and give her some Claritin or something, I told her the CA weather would really help her!

Hope your dd recovers soon!!
Tara

Thanks Tara! You would know how bad it is here!! :) She is at the golf course right now. I had to buy some allergy stuff last night. We are all taking it.

My Bonine was ordered. It should be delivered soon. I will take one Sunday morning. I have been reading how rocky the ship is on the first and last night. I don't want to be sick & miss anything!!

Hey Everyone,

I was curious about tips, even though this will be our third Disney Cruise. We have always left cash but reading on some TR's, and such, people say it is more traditional to leave the tips with you on=board account and the money will be transferred into the person's ship account. What is the best option in your opinions, is it better tax wise for the recipient to receive cash?

Thanks,
scott_twinsmom

Tax wise? Well, do they have to pay taxes? If they do, I would hope it isn't as much as we have to pay. We put the tips on our onboard account and if we feel that the person gave us excellent service, we put some cash in the envelope along with their piece of paper that says we charged our tips. It seems that they would get the money faster if you gave them cash. But we use our Disney Dollars to pay for our tips

I just saw a Disney Cruise commercial on TV and now I'm all anxious again. I was doing good until I saw that!! I leave for L.A. in 7 days!!!! I am sooooo excited I can't stand it!! I feel like a little kid on Xmas-Eve.

Here in Missouri, we are having thunderstorms. It looked like we had snow so much hail covered the ground! A few days ago we were woke up in the middle of the night 2x by tornado sirens!

We do the same. Easy peasy.
Never thought about the taxes. Maybe cash is a better option for them....

We also bring an extra calling card or two as well for the outstanding service from the staff in the kids clubs that don't receive tips. They seemed to really like that. Some of the councilors looked so young( 18, 20 or so) and I know how expensive it can be for them to call their families. Their job is so important. Especially in the teen club. My son loved it in there, and I was really impressed with the programing that took place.

Just left urgent care with our DD. She has an allergic reaction to the medicine we were using to treat the injury to her face and within minutes she had a huge rash all over her entire body. She has asthma so I was concerned about her having an attack. The Dr gave her some medicine and she is all better now...BUBBLE WRAP!!! I cannot believe that was our 2nd trip to the urgent care in a week!!

Yes, BUBBLE WRAP!!! I am glad she is doing better. Glad it is this week and not next. She will have time to get over it before you have to leave!!

Everyone take care!

We will be traveling tomorrow to tour a college about 3 hours south of where we live and then doing our final shopping!! It is getting so close. Next week at this time we will be in California!!

Where are you? We are in St Charles and apparently there were more tornados tonight? I am on a bus to Atlanta for a cheer comp so apparently I am missing all the weather fun.

I can't wait either.

It is going to be a LOOOOONG 7 days for all of us!!

Fortunately, I only have to work 3 of the next 7 days. I have a lot to do between now and when we leave so it will keep me busy!

Hope she's feeling better soon. That's not a fun way to spend the evening. Our weather is so gorgeous tonight, finally!!

All of St. Charles county where we are was having some severe weather. No actual tornados tonight. I feel for you and Kim having to be out of town now and then get back, pack and leave again.

Did Kim tell you I teach Hospitality, Tourism and Event planning? I am a cruise addict. Love it! I thrive off of researching and finding information on cruising for all my friends and coworkers. I am always finding something and booking it for someone. Unfortunately, it doesn't benefit me, no IATA number. I also teach Sabre in my class.

Good Luck in ATL.:cheer2:
