March 13th 2011 Fiesta time on the Wonder!

May I ask why you don't like Parrot Cay? They are all fine with me. I like the tropical feel of PC. Hey, as long as I am eating I don't care where it is....can't miss a meal on the ship :lmao:

We always say that one night we aren't going to get dressed up for dinner and we are going to eat at BBB/Topsiders, but then we decide we would miss our servers too much and we go to our rotation.

Palo just showed up for our first night.......
Grabbed it, instead of formal night.

Watch them switch formal night now!

For anyone who is looking for Palo it should still be there....

Good luck.:)

I agree Hope! I would rather have someone serve me! But thats us! I spend everyday cooking and serving the boys in this house, I really enjoy having someone else take care of it all!

We try to eat breakfast in the restaurants too. Such a nice way to start the day. We find the buffets crowded, but the food is good, I must say.

In Cabo the Mago Deck is by far the place that attracts the rowdy spring breakers! The office has a mix of both families and party goers and Tabascos is totally kid friendly. I really like the Sandbar because it is a little further down the beach and totally away from all the hoopla of the "party crowd". We went there last year and the staff was very inviting and they took very good care of us. The prices were also very cheap for Cabo standards. Just please remember that you are in Mexico so it will not be anything fancy. Basically chairs and umbrellas right on the beach and a small shack that they use to cook food in.

We didn't like the accousitcs at Parrot Cay ie it was too noisy, and it felt too casual for us. We LOVED AP and Lumieres on the Magic. We just didn't care for PC.

It's funny that a couple of people have mentioned how cool PC is on Pirate Night... that was the night we gave up on Parrot Cay and went to topsiders for dinner. We checked the menu earlier in the day and decided to go elsewhere for dinner that night. I liked our A la Carte dinner at TS, I had a great steak dinner, the service was very slow though.

Anyone else have a ton of FE stuff they need an additional suitcase? I have purchased so much since I first booked this cruise. I have so many little/different things I don't know how to package it up.

I just started packing and an entire suitcase is FE. There goes my brilliant plan to only take 3 suitcases for all four of us. Oh well, at least I know I will have room to bring things home. :thumbsup2

Oh, ok, I thought when you said Sandbar, you meant an actual sandbar, not a restaurant/bar area. :rotfl: Got it now.

Glad to hear you were able to make that change. I know that had to be worrying you.

We bit the bullet and made some changes to our trip. We cancelled both of our Palo schedules and also our Cabo excursion.

We're keeping the cooking demostration excursion in PV, but winging it in Cabo. The first stop we'll probably leave the kids in the Clubs while DW and I explore. Then, if we find something interesting for the kids, we'll go back on the second stop.

Since we're summering just North of PV this year (Rincon de Guayabitos), we'll have 5-7 days to play in and around PV.

FANTASTIC!!! I have a full-blown cold. I had one two weeks ago when I went to Denver. I'm doomed

Denise, sorry to hear you are sic. I am working on a cold also. Sara has a doctor appointment Tuesday, if I am not better I will have him look at me as well. You know, I work in a pre-school and kids love to share their germs:sick:. They love hugs, then when you are hugging them, they sneeze on you. They are such great sharers!!

Have a great day!!

We've never done Palo first night though. I hope it's not too rushed......
Might be a nice way to start the cruise though.....

I haven't either, but I've heard it is really good, because most people don't pick it because it is the first night. I heard it is really nice and calm, even more so than usual, because it isn't as in demand.

:grouphug: Denise! So sorry! And Hope! You, too!! A professor of mine in college had a great cure for colds (Zicam and things like that try to duplicate it) but you chew a pure Zinc tablet...AWFUL TASTING...then chase it down with orange juice...the two combined have a great effect on colds..it's no fun getting all that zinc out of your teeth..but I resort to it when I want a cold to end sooner...also a special tea..
any hot tea, add honey, lemon, bit of cayenne pepper and cinnamon...

Hoping you all get over this! I panic before a trip and selfishly wish we could just quarantine ourselves the week before, but we're soooo busy every day of the week, we can't skip anything! The girls have an Irish dance performance the night before..their hair has to be in Irish style..so they'll be forced to get on the plane with crazy hair...hoping we'll have time to wash it before the cruise at the hotel!! So much to do!!! It may never get done!!

Look forward to seeing you all! I'll be the one with many young adults!! 6 kids between the ages of 11-19! :)

Topsiders is a la carte in the evening so someone does take care of it all. ITs a great option as not many people know it is done this way. popcorn::
