March 13th 2011 Fiesta time on the Wonder!

Is anyone planning on going to the beaches or resorts on their own? We have decided to cancel our planned excursions through Disney - just can't justify spending the money at this time. Where are you all going and are you walking there or taking a taxi? Does anyone know any of the prices for day passes at some of the resorts? We are a group of 11.

Thank,
Kim

The Krystal Puerto Vallarta welcomes cruise ship passengers to use their pool facilities, and it's close to the beach and the ship.

Kim, we're doing Cabo both days on our own, just taking the water taxis...for a party of 11 you might be able to negotiate all of you for $25..normallly it's $3-4 a person to take you over..you do walk out 'into' the water so dress accordingly..we plan on getting some beach chairs at a local restaurant, ordering some snacks for the kids (8 of us) and just hanging out around Medano Beach....

Tara

We are also planning on going to Medano Beach on the 2nd Cabo day. The times are weird to be at the beach but we have an excursion booked for the first day. Does anyone know how long it takes to get to the beach either water taxi or by regular taxi? I want to plan accordingly so that we can leave enough time for the beach.

Thanks,

Meredith

Shopping later for FE gifts. I don't have a thing yet and most of you already have cute, homemade things ready.

You are not alone, TexasGirl....I finally shopped for FE gifts and it looks like my dining room table was hit by a tornado. I am doing something handmade, and am realizing I am running out of time...and wine...:rotfl:

Good luck!

Just caught up on 4 days of posts as I was swamped between work and the first dance competition of the season (where DW and DD12 are this morning for the last two numbers while I am home with DD5 who is still in bed she is so tired).

We have done zero packing. I do know I will be wearing a tux for our annual Disney family photo. Not doing that at the Beach Club will seem a little strange, but we are all very excited for the cruise.

:)We are! In PV we are going to Aquaventuras (sp?) it is a water park and we are doing swim with the Sea Lions (part of the kids Christmas gift). In Cabo day 1 we were planning just hanging out at Medano beach and Day 2 possibly Santa Maria beach. Such short visits and Day 1 is formal night and we have early seating. We are a party of 5 (unless my Mom comes with then 6). You are welcome to meet up with us.

Yeah... everyone's doing it....:goodvibes

Thanks Melissa & Denise, I talked to the family about changing and they don't want too. They want to "see" things. DH says that we will never be back there and he doesn't want to just go to a hotel. So, off we go on our DCL excursion. Y'all have fun. And we will see you when we get back.

2 weeks from today we will be waiting for a shuttle to pick us up and take us to the port!!!! :woohoo:

Where does everyone think they are going to eat lunch the frist day? If the weather is nice, we are eating at BBB. I love to eat outside if possible!!

With all the talk about the second day in Cabo I looked at our documents to see our a swim with Dolphins times was its with DCL but we do not finish up till 115 and need to be on the boat by 130, not too worried since we are on the excursion with Disney but wow that's cutting it close. We will be the family running to the boat and you all are saying what idiots didn't they read what time to be back on the boat, know I did I just wanted you all to have entertainment. Finsihing up the door magnets and starting pack all my prelaid out clothes today since tomorrow I start my 11 day work week without a day off.

Zonies: Don't forget. Japanese cultural festival at heritage square today. My DS will be performing on the Taiko stage at 10:30.

I think we are going to rebook while onboard. We wanted to do the Fantasy, but the only time we can go is in the summer 2012 which is $6000.00 way too much when our dd will be starting college fall of 2012. So, we are thinking about booking the Dream June 2 for 5 nights. Does anyone know if we rebook that onboard if we get any benefits?

Hope, we're booking on board for our next cruise too. Not sure when or which ship but I told DH that I want to do the double dip. We didn't get enough time on CC last time. I don't know if we can swing 2012 or not. Have to save for College after this trip~

Hey Denise, the 5 day on the dream we are looking at sails June 1st and makes two stops at CC. That is why I chose that one. If we don't do it then, we won't be able to do it. When they start college all our extra money will be going to them :sad2:
