March 13th 2011 Fiesta time on the Wonder!

So happy to hear that the Edge is open. DCL is still claiming that it will not open until dry dock. So funny that they do not know what is going on with their own ships!!

I started my FE gifts today. They are sure turning out cute. Hope whoever I get to trade with likes the memory.

If you are going to Disneyland and this is a very special trip, I would suggest eating at the Blue Bayou. It is a bit pricy but the atmosphere can not be beat. We never go to DL without our Monte Cristo! Try it. Amazing! Disneyland and California Adventure is Disneyworld crammed into 2 parks... We are DL avid lovers so we will be staying across the street at our favorite little hotel for 52$ night called Del Sol Inn. The hidden Gem. Not fancy, but well worth short walk to the gate. See you all at Disneyland!

How old are your kids? Are you going to Disneyland for just one day? What is your favorite thing about Disney World? Knowing some of these things will help me make suggestions on what you shouldn't miss at Disneyland!!

Both girls; 17 & 13. Oh and my oldest.......44. We love the rides, the food and the shopping. My youngest loves the games-Innovations. We don't know if we want to try both parks or just one. We will only be there on Saturday before the cruise and I'm sure it will be crowded. What do you think?

I recommend the BBQ at Big Thunder Ranch BBQ. It's located behind the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and it's a sit-down family style restaurant.

They bring out buckets of ribs, chicken, beans and the fixin's. You won't walk away hungry. That's our new favorite eatery at Disneyland.

Yum, sounds like Hoop-de-doo Revue at Disney World. Do you know how much it is by any chance? We're looking for yummy restaurant's.

Thanks, we're stayng across the street too but it's a Marriott. I can't wait, in your expert opinion, with only 1 day should we do one park or try to cram both in 1 day.

With one day, I would do Disneyland. California Adventure doesnt have a ton to do. Being that it is torn to pieces for the udates for Carsland etc. You would miss out on Tower of Terror, and Soarin', and those two are the most popular rides. You wont miss out on a ton. JMO. We go often and are completley finished with CA in 4 hours. While we spend 2 1/2 full days inside DL. Take advantage of the fastpass, and see as much as possible. Here are the park big hitters... Oh who am I kidding, ITS ALL GREAT. Besides, youll save some money going to Just DL. It is a very expensive park, so take advantage of as much as possible. Get there early for the rope drop. Head straight for Finding Nemo. Do Space Mountain, Matterhorn, Alice in Wonderland. Hit up Fantasyland, then to Adventureland. Indiana Jones, Jungle Cruise, Pirates, Haunted Mansion then to Splash. All while getting fastpasses in between. You can get it all done in one day if you plan properly, while missing out on the parades. Have fun and dont forget the churro!

Can't wait for this cruise!!!!!

I want to participate in the FE, how do I do it?

We are flying in on Friday, does anyone have a hotel suggestion if we are going to head to DL on Saturday.

I'm told that each night has a theme, where do I find these.

Thanks and look forward to cruising with you all

Definately on the Churro, do they have Dole Whips????

I remember us talking about this but did anyone come up with or create a Sombrero Mickey for the Port hole on the stateroom door????

Hi All!!

I have been over on facebook... I know shame on me. I thought that is where we all migrated to but I was wrong some of us are there but it looks like the action has moved back to the DIS! Forgive me for going astray !!:worship:

I can't believe we are going on our trip in only 60 something days! It is going to be so sweeeet.

We will be flying in on Friday night and staying at the Park Vue Inn right across the street. They include Breakfast (with waffles!!) and they said dinner too... I am not sure what that would include but it sounds good to me.

Karmel shuttle has a free kids promo on so their prices are very reasonable for anyone who is needing a shuttle to the port or DL.

I am just going to go back and read all 54 pages of our chat and get back to you in a few.

Thanks Dave!!!!

I was looking tonight and found that Disney Wonder will be berthed at Berth 93, at the Pacific Cruise Ship Terminal.

Here's a photo from the Magic in Los Angeles back in 2008. Based on the location of the bridge, it looks like she is departing the port. :woohoo:

Also, the Waterfront Red Car Line travels from the Cruise Terminal to Ports O' Call Village, (a group of shops and restaurants on the wharf) and points beyond. It runs Fri-Sun, noon-9:30pm. Not helpful on Embarcation day, but if you get in a day early and want to look around, it might work. Fare is $1 for the day.

This is a Google Maps link to the satellite shot of Berth 93, with a cruise ship docked where Wonder will be.

According to the Cruise Ship Calendar, Wonder will arrive on January 21, and will unload at Berth 93, spend the next day at Berth 91/92 (the dock just North in the satellite photo) and then be back at Berth 93 to load for her first Mexican Riviera cruise.

No worries!! When you get on board head right to WaveBands (or wherever the reservation area is, it was Rockin Bar D on the Magic) and line up to get your ressies. We were on a fully booked cruise in Oct 2009 and got Palo Brunch reservations on the day and at the time we wanted.

I'm in Arizona and I'm in. Unfortunately there are no Brunch/Tea options left for Palo...but they recommend to keep checking back to the site as reservations change/cancel.

Hello Everyone!
I just wanted to introduce myself and say that I am so excited to be going on our first ever cruise!! Starting to obsess over all the details, so I will probably be living at my computer for the next 60 or so days. Can't wait to meet everyone.

I hear about the facebook page, but does anyone have a link? Would love to follow the happenings over there as well.

Does the cruise line do the photo CD like World and Land? I'm a scrapbooker and this is the best way to get all the photo's, Thanks

When we were on the WBTA last September, there was a CD available for $300. However, when you choose this option rather than the actual phot package, you don't get the special borders, but you do get a ton of pictures. Also, if you go with the CD option, remember to review your photos, a few people on the cruise had some of their photos missing.

I just ordered some Disney Gift Cards!! I know how much money I am going to spend on excursions, tips & spa so I decided I would order some gift cards that way I can also earn disney dollars!! I could have just ordered one card with the amount I wanted on it, but there are so many cute designs that I had to order a bunch of different ones to add up to my total!! My dd & I had fun picking the designs!!

I also ordered my disney rewards card already. I don't like waiting for things so I ordered it now and I can transfer the finally balance onto the card when my March statement closes out.

I am getting ready for the trip. I am beginning to put things in a pile!! I suppose I could go ahead and pack since I won't be wearing any of my spring things right now!!
