March 13, 2011 - DREAM

Good morning! We are starting to get excited in our household! I called Disney to confirm dining requests and inquired about temp of water. I learned the pools on deck are heated, which I did not know. I also asked about the water temp at Castaway. The nice DCL rep stated she just got back from the Dream and the water was chilly for her but her children and grandchildren thought it was great!

We cruised last July and the water seemed cool to me but down here in TX, we like it hot! My DH and DS thought the water was great! The DCL rep also stated the weather was perfect, nice and warm! :woohoo:

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! We are bbqing because it is so nice today. Suppose to be 78 today. We live in AZ so we are used to nice weather but really enjoy the 70's.

Our stateroom number was requested for the FE list, we're in 9088.

Enjoy your wekend everyone!

Hi, we are looking forward to our upcoming cruise and would like to join the FE.

Momcicle and family

1 month to go:banana:, we are getting excited but so many things on the go.

We are flying Delta and the flights have changed about a million times, but never anything more than 10-15 minutes, I keep hoping we get moved so we arrive earlier as I wish we could spend the night in Cape Canaveral. Oh well I just keep reminding myself that I picked the flights so we do not have to get up at 4:00 AM.

Happy Saturday!

I just updated the list with more additions :thumbsup2 and childrens' names, etc. If your username is in a yellow box, that means I do not have your family last name! If you would like to have that included in a list I am keeping to fwd to those interested in them for FE gifts, then please PM it to me. Still a few children's names too that we need.

I will close off the list late tomorrow nite.....

Talk to you soon -

Hey everyone! :D Finally one month to go! :D I got a question for everyone (: I'm wondering how can I eat healthy on the ship? I know there's fruits and other healthy things, but I've started the HCG diet (500 cal/day) and I can barely eat anything to begin with, and I can't always just eat fruit. Should I bring my food onboard? Or see if they can set up something for me? Another question is, I need a mini fridge to keep my HCG hormones in there. Do you think if I request one they can place it in my room?

The fridge is in there and it is a real fridge now not just a cooler. Preload your syringes for the trip and carry them with you using a diabetic case travel case (can get at CVS or Walgreens). That way you are not bringing your whole vial with you. You can put your alcohol swabs in there and be set for the trip. You can request just plain meat and steamed veggies and undressed salads for dinner and lunch. For breakfast you can get hard boiled eggs and just eat the egg whites along with some fruit. Bring a refillable water bottle to make sure you are getting enough water.

You will walk more than usual and as a consequence eat more than usual which is OK on this diet. This is a great way to lose weight! I just lost 50 pounds over 2 cycles since last June and have kept it off. I am about to start a 3 week cycle to lose a little bit more, but will not be doing this on the cruise. No way, but I admire you for doing it though.

Congrats on the losing the 50 pounds! :D And good luck with losing the rest, you will lose them easily! :D

And thank you ;) I'll do what you said, I'm glad that there is a fridge in the staterooms haha because that was my biggest worry :) And thank you, I know it won't be easy to resist the temptation of eating the delicious food especially being a teen :rotfl: But I'm trying my best to lose 10 pounds by the time I'm on the ship :)

Hey all - long time no see - I can't believe I leave for Florida in 22 days :scared1: I feel so unprepared!! Ugh .. ahvent been on here forever aven though I have wanted to -just not enough time and too much stress worrying about $ for this trip. Anyway, for a reminder - we are doing a B2B March 13 -17th, and then 17-20. Ryan's 11 Birthday is the 19th so that should be fun - oh, the kids have no idea we are doing a B2B - they keep whining that 4 days is too short :rotfl2: We are traveling with my mom and stepdad - their 1st cruise! I saw the FE list- so glad I didn't get booted from it yet, lol. We have 3 rooms- but only 2 FEs. One will be on the kids room - either 8051 or 8053 and my moms room is 8551 - all 3 rooms are in a row -so probably put the kids in the middle room ;) I think I will spend the day tomorrow figuring out what I still need to do - we are going to Universal and Busch gardens before the cruise so lots to do. Is anyone renting a room when we go to Atlantis? I've heard this is the cheapest route... anyone have details?

Ok. I have seen this mentioned more than once. Tell me why people rent the room? What does that get you?:confused3

I just bought my two youngest girls a bunch of clothes today, had them try them on, groaned because they are just too skinny, and will be returning things tomorrow. Oh well -- at least Target is just 1.5 miles from my last drop off in the morning. Also need to his Justice. Have to do the (shudder) shopping trip with the 13yo next.

My husband is doing a fundraiser for St. Baldric's the ends on our cruise. It raises money for childhood cancer, and the deal is that by raising money to his goal ($20K) he shaves his head. He is going to try to get a character to participate in his head shaving (I need to call DCL about this).

Not sure if I can post the link but here goes -- Mod's if not please remove and I understand.

Every little bit helps if you would like to contribute!

KUDOS to your DH for his hard work in raising $ for such a worthy cause.:worship:

Is anyone else having trouble with this web site loading extremely slowly?

Happy Wednesday! :laundy:

Just bought DH and I Rainforest Passes! Requested our Dining Rotations (specifically to not do two Animator Palettes and to be in Enchanted Garden for Dress Up night and Royal Palace the 3rd and 4th night -- so AERR). My DS and youngest DD and DH would not like AT ALL being next to the wall in Animators if we happened to get one of those tables, DS does not like loud noises, DH wants dinner to be about dinner, and DD#3 just doesn't handle things like that well.

I also got my son's birthday celebration request in. He turns 16 right before the cruise so it will be celebrated on Formal night (2nd night)! We have been teasing him that we were going to have Ariel bring him his cake -- well, that is how you tease a 16yo boy.

I am working, working, working on getting a request in for a character photo op for the shaving of the head for the St. Baldric's fundraiser for my husband. The lady on the phone talked to her supervisor and her supervisor's supervisor. They found out who I need to talk to -- it really is a special request and not something normally done/requested.

HappyOnTheLake I hope it works out for the character shaving event. Such a worthy cause. I looked at the website. What a great charity. That would be fun to watch. If so, please let us know when.

I ordered my FE yesterday. I am working on my gifts now. Haven't completely figured it out yet. Will soon, though.

I can't believe how close the cruise is. We will be leaving before we know it! Hopefully I will be ready. So far, not so much!

I have something each weekend before then. My son is in an area Latin competition this weekend. He is very excited. He is entered in the Mythology competition and also in the Trebouchet competition. They are launching water balloons. He has been working on it with different angles and moving the arm up and down to get the best distance. It has been fun to watch him. He is so into stuff like this. They are leaving their school at 6:30 am and returning at 8:30pm. I am going to drive to the competition so that I don't get stuck with no transportation. I imagine there will be plenty of down time. The drive from our house is about an hour. I hate drives like that, but when you live in Houston, it goes with the territory.

Hope everyone is getting beautiful weather like we have had the past few days. It is absolutely gorgeous here! It has been an unusually cold winter for us, but once it is over, it gets hot fast and stays that way for a very long time! I am not a fan of summer weather. Spring is great, if only it would last a little longer.
