If you are going to attend the DISmeets with kids would you please PM or post number of kids...my DD has a little something for the kids that come to the DISmeet but I need a count to make sure someone doesn't leave without one. We want it to be a fun stress free thing and don't want anyone to be disappointed that they don't get one...

Bringing two granddaughters with us: one 7 1/2, the other a month shy of 10.

We had almost six inches of snow yesterday before it started to melt a little with the sun. The weather is supposed to get above freezing today! 17 this morning and 21 now. I am supposed to take cookies to a youth conference at church this morning. I would have to leave by 10 AM, and my driveway still has 2 inches of ice covered by snow. Not sure if I can get back up it if I get down it?

Roads look great here after it warmed up today and most of the snow melted, including our snowman We have a "significant weather advisory" already for Tues nite/Wed re: the snow then

At least this cold weather and snow are making us look forward to the cruise

Yesterday turned out to be a beautiful day, and today is following suit. However, our driveway and alley are still iced over. I slid a little but still managed to get the car back into the garage after church. Most of the streets were completely clear this afternoon except for a few less-traveled roads in our neighborhood. Hope the front this evening behaves and that they are wrong about the Tuesday/Wednesday storm!

We ended up missing school on Friday due to ice. We were supposed to have snow and boy were the kids disappointed! We all stayed in bed and kept warm. It was a nice day to do nothing. I am sure our make up day will be President's Day in a couple of weeks. Atleast that is what is built into our schedule.

We will be bringing our two kids to the dismeet. We have a son that will turn 12 on the cruise and a daughter that is 14. Our last name is Wong.

So am I kkruser. We actually did some cruise shopping this weekend. I had to get the boys some new swimming trunks. Even hubby was in a good mood this weekend until the Steelers lost.

4 - Anyone else doing B2B? We are looking at spending the transition day at Kennedy Space Center. I followed the instructions on the Cruise Forum thread on getting the free tickets from your Congressman, and wouldn't you know it, we got 'em...

Still need to go clothes shopping -- DS needs new shorts and some shirts/trunks. DH has been informed to take care of his clothes and to have them all packed before the end of the month and he starts traveling nonstop before our trip.

The two younger girls have swimsuits and as soon as I am over the flu I start getting the rest of their clothes -- not knowing if it will be a warm-warm or a cool-warm makes it difficult shopping, IFYKWIM. DD13 and I will shop the weekend of the 18th. That is the plan at least I do not shop for a 5'7.5" 13yo girl without her present. I give her a budget, we discuss her needs, make a plan, and I drive her around. Early budget skills. Just have to teach her (and me) that the shoe department at Nordstroms is not the first stop. But knowing her she could live in NIke shorts the whole trip if she has cute dinner outfits and swimsuits.

My parents got their cruise docs yesterday. Hopefully we'll get ours soon. You would think that they would just courier ours together to save some money?

As for the docs, haven't seen anything. I'm jealous!

I ordered some new sneakers, but I am hard to fit and may have to send them back. They should be here Friday if the weather allows. Only got mail twice last week and expecting another round of snow tomorrow. I'm planning on half jeans and half capris with short sleeves and knit jersey jackets in case it is colder. Throwing in a couple pair of slacks and nice jackets for dinner.

Son called last night, and I remnded him that we leave a month from Friday. They are preparing their house to sell and looking at new houses, and he said they did not have time to think about the trip now.
