I would like to know if any fellow cruisers are avid Disney Pin Collectors/Traders? Or Vinylmation?
On our 2nd day off here for the kids. Got about 1" ice and 2" snow yesterday. Then the temps plummetedwind chill was negative temps last nite and today, now we're in a statewide power emergency and they're doing rolling blackouts (seems hourly for about 15 mins at a time).

My kids love the pins! We're bringing lanyards and pins with us to trade, and plan on buying some special DCL ones while we're on the cruise! Haven't gotten into the vinylmation thing![]()
I have some folks who are requesting names to personalize FE gifts. If you could please PM me the names of your children, that would be great.....I will keep the notes and fwd them in PMs to the individuals askingSo far, I have the children's names for:

Told the kids (and DH) about our upcoming trip and must say I was disappointed with their reaction! I think the kids have clued into how I plan Disney tripsDH was very excited that we will be making a stop at Universal STudios
And I actually think that helped him accept the cruise, b/c he's a non-Disney guy. We had a blast though tonite, looking at the FE I had made from eBay, the travel journal I put together for the kids, and then sitting by the fire, watching the DCL DVD
They are VERY excited, and can't wait to meet all of you!
Since the schools are closed again tomorrow (ice!) and probably will be on Friday too (getting 1-2" of snow), I told DD she could help me put together the FE gifts and she almost shot to the moonNow, off to print out our Disney countdown chain we use for our trips....
Kay....heard ya'll have about 4.5" of snow!
So much for the 1-2" they were forecasting earlier...geesh. Can't believe we're under a Winter Storm Warning and could see 5-7"! I ventured out yesterday and the roads were awful-parking lots were sheets of ice.
Hope they don't start taking Spring Break Days to use as make-up days
Be careful & safe; stay warm!
Hi Soccer Mom, Looks like about 3" just looking out the window--not venturing outside. Just heard on the news that more is expected. Stay tuned!
As far as makeup days, the state requires the districts to include two makeup days in their schedules. After two days have been missed and made up, the districts can apply for waivers for any additional days that are missed. In the past, the additional days have been waived. I have been retired since June, 2004, but we used to issue excused absences if the person had receipts showing that travel was booked prior to a makeup day being scheduled. You should be okay.
