March 13, 2011 - DREAM

Curious to see where everyone is staying Saturday night. I need to make my reservations soon

We are at the Hampton Inn in Lake Buena Vista Friday and Saturday night. The guys are playing golf at a Disney course Saturday morning while the ladies and children do Downtown Disney and we'll all do WDW in the afternoon/evening.

Our 10 year old girl is an only child and generally shy...she does great once she meets folks but doesn't approach kids on her own...any of our group that have kids around her age going to the DISmeet? I think she will be a bit better going off to do things if she has some friends to go with....

Hi! My DD will be close to 10 at the time of our cruise, and I know by the list, a bunch of other girls are the same age. I think they will have a great group and will be able to meet alot of them at the DISMeet :thumbsup2 We will be there and I know some others are too :)

I am so excited. We are adding on 3 nights at WDW at the end of the cruise. I got a deal - an Animal Kingdom Lodge Savannah room for $200 less than the same package at Port Orleans. Breakfast with the giraffes.

We are at the AKL Kidani Village for 3 nights post cruise also! We are DVC so will be staying in a 2 bedroom Savannah view condo.

For those of you that are staying at Radisson or Country inn and suites, are y'all taking the shuttle or parking at port?

we are taking the early shuttle called after I booked on line and asked when I could book a shuttle time and they said "now" so I did 10AM shuttle. The earlier ones fill up faster...at least that was what I was told? I did forget to ask about coming back...but I'll save the call and just ask when we get there....we parked at the port last time it wasn't bad but if I don't have to pay 15.00 a day...

Does anyone have a DH interested in beer/wine/margharita/etc tastings onboard? Was planning on signing DH up for 1 or more of them...figure the more the merrier :lmao:

In 8 short weeks, we'll be sleeping in a hotel at the Port - WOW! And, the best thing is.....I still haven't told the family about the trip (including DH) :rotfl: All they know is when we're going on vacation, that "it will be better than our trip to Disney World 2 years ago", and that I have listened to everyone's inputs and have planned something for everyone (including 2 days at Universal Studios post-cruise for the 3rd child, DH)! So sometime between next weekend and Valentine's Day, I'll drop the bomb and hopefully figure out a way to post the video from our 8mm camera to YouTube:thumbsup2

Have a great weekend!

I've done all of them and really enjoyed the Tequila/Margarita tasting the most. Martinis were not to my liking and the Beer tasting just had me "wasted" for the rest of the day.

That being said, I'd be up there for the Margarita tasting. I'll be lining up early to get into the Palo brunch anyway.

BTW, we debark on St. Patrick's Day (March 17).

Hey Chernabog,
I have two granddaughters on the cruise--one will be 10 in April and would love to meet your daughter, and one will be 8 in August. I phoned DIL last night to ask if they could attend the Dismeet with us, and she said the girls would be delighted. We'll be looking forward to meeting you all.

I was looking at the FE list and I see we are listed, but we did not sign up for it, just feel there is going to be no time for it.

Seriously! I need to call right now! We are staying at the Radisson the night before and with six of us and LOTS of luggage I want to make sure there is room.

Did it! 10am shuttle confirmed for all six of us!

Also just made our limo reservation from MCO to the Radisson on the 12th and from the Cruise Terminal to the ADL Kidani Village on the 17th! Will use Disney Transportation to the Airport on the 20th. WooHoo! Getting Closer!

Mkmommy - Sorry about that, I thought I saw a previous post in the thread where you said you would be interested...guess I was wrong! I will update the list and then you can let me know if you would like to be put back on the sheet. You still have a few more weeks before the list is closed :). We'd love to have you and the family on there, but I for one, can understand the "not enough time" thing!

Thanks for letting me know..
