March 12, 2011 Eastern Caribbean, Let's rock the Magic!

Don't want to be a party pooper, but...

Will there be a cut off date for joining the fish extender group?

I have to stop shopping and start packing the gift bags at some point and I would hate to come up short on any gift bags.

Maybe make an extra gift bag just in case.... :flower3:

Yep! I agree. My post #190 on Page 13 will be it. I will make small changes as they come up like birthdays or names. But otherwise, this is it.
Stateroom numbers will only be sent by PM.

And it's MY birthday too on 3/18! :bday: Yes, get a Birthday button at Guest Services! Castaway Cay Day!!:beach:

More snow today, on and off and its up to 24degrees!! Balmy!
I need hot sun!!!

I thought our cruise was pretty full, but I guess not. We are glad to have more aboard!
Just curious how you decided to take a 7night cruise so close to sail date? I have always had to wait close to two years due to booking so far out!

Have you sailed DCL before?

Is it just you and Morgan (DD?)?
We talked just yesterday about cutting off the FE exchange list, so no problem adding one more family at this point.

When you have enough posts, PM me to tell me your stateroom #. Only others in the exchange will get your room #.

Hope everyone is well!

I ordered something yesterday for the FE gifts. :goodvibes I like them and hope everyone else does to.

Now for the FE itself.. :confused3 .. I would love to buy a used one but may try to make one if I can't find a decent one for the right price. Some of the photos I have seen are beautiful!

I will have to enlist the help of the kids and my husband since I am not very crafty but we shall see how it goes.:dance3:

Is Pirate Night the only real "dress up" night on the ship? I can't find much info about it on the DCL website.

That's my understanding....there's a semi-formal night (1 or 2?)...and one formal night...but as far as "themes" go....I think Pirate night is the only one.

Are you going to rebook onboard, anyone??

I thought I wouldn't, the kids are getting older, the money is tight, sometime in the next 5years or so we need to remodel our kitchen, etc...

But did you see the DREAM???:lovestruc

Here is a link to her arrival:http://attractionsmagazine.com/blog...ship-arrives-with-fireworks-at-her-home-port/

Can you imagine pulling up in Cozumel next to some old Carnival ship on that baby?!?!?

The thing about the Dream right now is that they are only sailing the shorter trips only to Nassau. If I do rebook, I'll push it out a couple years until the Fantasy is ready to go and stay with 7 nighters.

Hey! It's 33 degrees here! Let the melting and dripping begin! (for now, anyway).

We will be booking a date on the Fantasy while on board. We are not really into cruises that are less than 7 days but will be doing the Dream in August.( booked while on our Nov. 2009 cruise and the price was very low)

Rob

FYI 69 degrees here just north of Dallas:cool1::cool1: ....but cold front coming through on Monday for a few days.:sad1:

I am planning on getting that hot tub back up to speed. I won't let the family out there when it's less than 10 degrees!!:lmao:

More snow in the forcast. At least I enjoy the break from yardwork!

Before kids my husband and I cruised on a Carnival ship and one of the Disney ships was at the port too. When we were boarding a little boy in line in front of us that pointed to the Disney ship and said "Daddy, I want to go on that one".....Alas, we all boarded the Carnival ship instead!

Went to Michaels at lunch...tons of Disney stuff in their $1 aisle...I got some things to put together a little bag of activities for the kids on the plane. I find *new* stuff always makes any flight delays better!

Marcy:

I'm in the same boat (heh) - money is tighter, especially sincy my DH decided we need to move to a bigger house, but that new boat is gorgeous!

I'm hoping to book a western caribbean cruise on the Fantasy while we're aboard. I think I can afford the deposit, at least.

Hi Everyone!
I am kinda late joining, but my grandmother and I will be on this cruise. We would like to be included in the fish extenders please!
I am Jenn and my grandmother is Jane. Our stateroom is 2066.
This will be our 9th Disney cruise, 9 years in a row. Looking forward to being somewhere warmer than central NY in March!

:welcome: Goofygirl27!
You and your grandma are veterans!

We do want to cut off the FE list but you're in!
Did you do the Captain Nautica excursion on your last Eastern?
How was that? We booked it and my stepdad is hoping he won't get sea sick on the boat ride over....
I also hope that the snorkeling locations are really the BEST!!

Hey EVERYONE! I will update the FE list and repost the totals by tomorrow!:teacher:

We did Captain Nautica a few years ago and loved it:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 We found them to be very professional and informative during the excursion. The boat ride is a fast one out to the first site were we saw a few turtles and some large fish. I am a diver for over 30 years and would say that for the locations that they take you it is a 7. The second site was also about a 7.

I am way behind and to catch up!

How many posts do I need to pm? I need to get busy! :rolleyes1

Now, see Rob, 16 years old means "babysitters" for us with smaller ones! I know Julies' kids are young too (4 and 7). You're 16 year olds could make lots of $$$ on the cruise ! Ha! Ha!

There are some other teens on the trip....I think there were 7 or so girls on the FE list. Nice for your daughter to have her friend with her too!
