March 10, 2012 - Eastern on the Magic

I'm so ready for "adult" entertainment! Cannot wait! Hopefully the boys will cooperate and want to stay way late at the clubs :rolleyes1

I finished my last FE gift this afternoon and getting them all ready to be packed. Still have to print tags, but once I figure out how I wish to make them, should be easy.

Wanted to tell Imacanuck that we've included you on our distribution list, if you can let us know of your cabin number.... :thumbsup2

See you all real soon!!!

You are awesome I appreciate it, I know it is so last minute so I appreciate whatever happens thanks again!!

Forgot to mention that I second the request to Imacanuck for info on the performers, especially those offering the 'adult' entertainment.

What is the info for the first night in RockNBarD? Last year it was a grown-up scavenger hunt, which was a hoot. I'm hoping a number of DISers will be able to join us! The more the merrier! (And dare I say, we won some nice prizes!)

yes there is a scavenger hunt again with prizes the first night of the cruise

other adult info includes
angela johnson: beegees abba tribute
rock n country party

Tisa seems to be the host (someone was asking about a director) maybe this is what they mean?)
disco night
match your mate
all kinds of tributes ie elton john, billy joel, rat pack etc

Hi all,

I have a 5, going on 6, years old and I worry he might suffer from motion sickness during the cruise, especially the first day. I was wondering what you, parents of youngsters, or who have travelled with youngsters, have done in regards to this. I cannot find anythign over-the-counter for his age. I've contacted our pediatrician, but they are referring us to an ENT. I don't know that I want to go through all this trouble if I can find an alternate solution.

TIA

Just as I thought, Gravol is a Canadian product. :headache: It is sold in the US under Dramamine, but I cannot find children's dosage, or children's strength. Supposedly, there is a Children's version of Bonine, but I have yet to find it.

I'm also on the lookout for Ginger pills and kids' size sea-band... I'll try anything at this point!

Thanks for your help!

Lately, we've noticed that whenever we need to travel early in the morning, DS doesn't do too well. We travel back to Quebec twice a year and sometimes we don't have much choice as to what time we fly. We have now come to the conclusion that traveling later in the day works best. Unfortunately, we didn't have much of a choice this time since we are traveling Saturday morning, all organized by DCL. Our flight leaves at 5:55am... not really looking forward to it, and I wonder if it's worth going to be at all!!!

thanks again!

Can someone give me the low down on FE gifts...

Do you sign your name on the gifts?
Is there any amount we should spend or not go over?

Thanks!

Oh we will be there! I loved those games last time! I'm a little too shy to volunteer for Match Your Mate, but by the last night I won a dance contest!!:rotfl: Once you get to know me, you'll find that hilarious! I'm a bit concerned we will have slow tablemates...

And making lists? I'm right there with you! I've got a whole notebook of lists! It's not too soon at all. We are staying at Beach Club before the cruise and I'm just as excited about that as the cruise itself.

I packed up my "pharmacy" last night - every kind of pain reliever, stomach aid, bandaid, etc.. you could need! If in need, come find me! Oh, sauterelledesilles, I have ginger pills, and will also be looking for bonnie.

I was able to add you to our FE list Imacanuck.

Getting excited!

We all had Seabands - you can buy them at your local drug store. They appeared to work as no one got sick

I am so sad I missed the boat on the fish extenders I wish I knew more about it ahead of time. my son would have loved it. Do people bring extra stuff ever so we can half be involved, I completely understand it is not possible for the homade gifts. I would love to participate even if it is a very small scale. Any suggestions? and can someone explain to me the program in its entirety? For example the process of hanging things out?
I've got you on my list too. I'm so glad you can participate! it is so much fun!

This will be my first time doing it, and so I'm not sure what people usually do... but we plan to sign our gifts, and we will probably try to hand them out the first time we have a few minutes to go wandering around the ship so that I don't end up forgetting once I'm in full vacation mode!!! :lmao:

Is anyone else getting so excited that they really can't focus on anything else right now?? :dance3:

This is becoming a bit of a problem, as I'm moving on March 31st and starting a new job on April 2nd and so there are things that I really should be focusing on right now, and sadly its not whether I've packed enough sunscreen! :scared1:
