March 10, 2012 - Eastern on the Magic

Yes, I've been rocking and rolling quite a bit since! I'll be standing up and swaying away! I hope today is better.

My washing machiene is BROKEN! Uugh! I've got to lug it all to a laundry mat today! Of all times!

We booked a cat 5A for next time. The price diff wasn't that much between that and an inside, and we got caught up in the "We can always cancel later" mentality. Now, that I'd like to downgrade since we didn't mind the inside for a week, prices have risen so much that we'd pay the same! Crazy. Glad I booked onboard, or I would never have booked now. We'll hang onto the reservation and decide.

Sonia, your crocheted items were truly amazing! It must have taken you so long to do, but they are one-of-a-kind! I will cherish ours always! I look forward to your trip report. I'm sorry but I can't figure out how to post online. I could email you a couple of pics though. You guys looked great!

About the photo, we asked a teenager to take it with my iPhone (which we used as a camera). Everytime we asked a crew member to take our picture, it turned out blurry. Teenagers have a better understanding of the technology!!! So it wasn't a professional one, and we didn't buy any pictures either.

Thanks! I love to crochet and making the gifts was a pleasure. It was also a new challenge as I didn't have any patterns to follow. I ended up having extras, because of the two families who did not provide us with stateroom numbers. I gave some of the items to the Oceaneer Lab crew members! They seemed to appreciate it.

I did all of my laundry yesterday. 5 loads!

Had to keep DS2 at home today  he spiked a fever at dinner time last night and looked horrible. Woke up this morning fever free and stayed that way all day. He's going back to school tomorrow! :yay:

Also, I meant to ask... has anyone else been feeling the rocking of the ship still? It was really hard for me on Saturday, kept feeling as if I was still on the Magic, without its magic :sad1: Yesterday wasn't as bad, but still felt movement pretty much throughout the whole day. Today was much better, although I still felt it a little.

DS1, who was also queasy on the ship, felt movement on Saturday, but was fine yesterday. Lucky him!

Hope you are all smoothly getting back to your routines

PS: I've started to write a trip report that I hope I'll be able to post before the week is over.

I felt like I was still rocking on the seas on Saturday, but come Sunday not at all. Don't remember having this feeling after my other cruises.

Hi guys! Welcome back. Hope it was a great trip. I'm trying to keep track of all the scheduled stops on Castaway Cay this year. I haven't been able to find out for sure if your cruise made it's scheduled call. If someone could post or PM me that would be great. If you could let me know, generally, how the weather was, that would be a bonus. Thanks!

We did stop at CC, and the weather was awesome:banana:

Yes, and the water temp was quite doable. Cold at first, but lots of people in and not bad at all once you got used to it. MUCH better than 2 years ago when we were there. Sunny, high of 28 celcius, I believe, calm water. Perfect in every way!!

We're doing it again! We called DCL and have two cabins on hold for spring break 2013, on the Magic out of Galveston, TX. This is practically in our backyard, so no airfare this time!

We'll miss Castaway Cay, but we will have new ports to visit!

I will have to start working on the FE gifts soon ;)

Well congrats! But we're sad to hear you won't be on the Fantasy with us. DH and DS really enjoyed hanging out with you, and I wish we had run into each other more too. Enjoy the Magic again!!

I saw them move her stuff! She had put their stuff down and gone to get breakfast. They moved her stuff while she was gone. I was on her side until she dropped that F-bomb.

not really fair to hold chairs that way,if you are sun tanning great, at no time did i occupy two chairs when i knew my son wasn't going to use it, we have to be fair and share

Did you do that trip report? Would love to read it! Work has been horrible since I got back, haven't had a moment's peace ...

I'm not quite done yet. Did a lot the first week, I was still in that "after cruise honeymoon" mood! I actually had to come back to reality and I haven't been able to write as much as I wanted. I'll post as soon as it is ready/done.

Hi all,

I (finally) posted my trip report for our cruise. It's under the cruise section and trip report - I wrote Magic eastern caribbeans 7-night as the title.

Let me know what you think of if!

Hope you are all well

Is anyone still reading this thread?!

We are getting ready for our next cruise and thought the magnetic board and marker was a great idea! Would love it for the family that gave it to us as their FE gift to either respond to this or PM me where you purchased the items.

We use ours everyday! Right now, we are counting down when school starts!

We use ours every day as well! Maybe you can check on the homemade FE thread and get more feedback (if you haven't figured something else out by now, that is) Good luck! I know your next cruise friends are gonna love it!
