Hotels seem to be more expensive on the weekends (usually). We will be there 3/2-3/8. Went in mid March last year, it was really warm in the afternoons. Morning and evenings were pretty chilly but nothing a sweatshirt couldn't cure. Definitely plan for some rain, doesn't mean it will but better to be prepared.
We stayed at the DI. It was perfect for what we needed.....close to parks, clean, safe etc etc. It's nothing fancy but it's a place to lay a tired head after a day in the parks. Can't answer anything about burbank, we always fly right into Orange County. Have you checked prices for there?

I always check orange county and from salt lake city it is like 30-50 bucks more a ticket then long beach or burbank. Everyone around here raves about orange county but Im buying 3 tickets and 30 bucks more a ticket thats 90 bucks or more saved in my pocket. And long beach is 2 miles longer whew not much of a differnce.

I went the first of dec so I know how the weather was then but wanted to see if march is about the same, looks to be about the same.

As far as hotel desert inn was way cheaper as long as it is clean thats all that matters to me Im in the parks all day anyways. Last time I was there I stayed at the del sol inn it was a place to sleep nothing fancy. This time del sol wants 122 bucks a night I think not I will go with the desert inn for 69 a night.
