Yay for spring break. We always do vacations in September this year is the first time we do spring break.

What does Platinum give you extra? I assume early booking?

it gives us : $350 OBC :cheer2: , free diner at palo, able to make reservation at 120 days from cruise instead of 90, and some special perks that are not written down because they vary per cruise ( special tour of the ship, captain meet`n greet, special in room gift, etc ) :thumbsup2

Anyone interested in doing Fish Extender ?

If so, could we say from the start at what number we would stop and create a new group ? I personally think that an amount of stateroom below 15 is perfect.

Otherwise it takes sooo much space in our luggage to bring it all. My opinion. Let me know. Last we have done it took us one carry on suitcase JUST for the FE gifts.

By knowing in advance, we can prepare ahead and look at for good deals at various store throughout the year. We have so much fun preparing those.

Let me know,

Josee

Yes I didn't get it going yet. Last time I cruised someone created a google spreadsheet that listed all the information, it was useful. I will put a link to the spreadsheet in the first post. I also wrote that anyone who wants to participate can message me in private with the info and I will compile the list

As for the number, I think we had a max of 25-30 cabins last time. We could set a max and a deadline and for all those who add on after this deadline we can create another list for the extra names & the people who choose to do both list, I will add them to both lists.

What do you all think?

Here is the started spreadsheet

We just changed from 10/2014 to this cruise! Still a year away, but closer. This will be our 2nd cruise, both with DCL. We will be escaping Mardi Gras madness. (yep- from New Orleans)
I'm Tuesday, DH Michael, DD April will be 14, and DS Thomas will be 12
I've not had a chance to play with our stateroom number yet, but will let you know when I have it. I tried to add us to the fish extender, but it didn't allow me to do so. I also like the idea of 15 staterooms per group. We will probably do the late seating again.

Our last cruise went to the same ports so we're going to get to do the things we didn't do last time. :) (We booked on our own and were able to do things at half the DCL price)

Sure hope the next year just flys by! Our last group did a T-shirt for boarding day and it was nice to see others with the same shirt. Interested? (ours was a iron on added to any red shirt)

Welcome aboard! I will add your info to the roll call :)

Please message me your FE info and I will update the google doc. Depending on how many families we have we can go from there.

I'm up for shirts.. I am no good in design.. Any designers in here.. Perhaps that can create a logo for us?

Welcome aboard! I think T-shirts are a good idea, not sure if all three DD's would want to look the same :rotfl:.

I am curious what excursions you did when you cruised the same itinerary. We would potentially book directly to avoid the DCL uplift, however the short stays at GC and Costa Maya have me a little concerned about booking outside of DCL.
We also thought the Amazing Race excursion (offered through CCL/NCL/RC) in Cozumel looks interesting, lots of great tripadvisor reviews. But without any Carnival, Norwegian and Royal Caribbean ships in port that day I wonder if the operator would offer the excursion due to low participation.

It was the husbands we had a hard time convincing to wear Mickey on their shirt, but in the end, we ladies won. LOL

We did Captain Marvels stingray tour in GC and it was fantastic!! The office was very close to where the boat docked. We did the 3 stop tour. It was a windy day so the waves were not on our side for snorkling. I was in a battle with shingles down my left leg and salt water was not my friend, but I enjoyed being out on the water watching the kids snorkle. They did a CD of pictures for us for 40.00. It was cheap!!!

We did the dolphins @ Cozumel for around 150 for the 4 of us. I found a deal on the internet after searching around. I think it was a buy one get one deal. Picture cd here was a fortune, but they do not allow you to take a camera. It was a 'we got you' moment. We wished we had done the nicer option. We were cheap and did the encounter program. I didn't realize how different the programs were. I would have paid for the upgrade!

Costa Maya was shopping day for us. The kids did wish they had their suits on. There was a swimming pool in the middle of the shops.

The kids want to do the Turtle farm in GC. (April is pushing for Captain Marvin's again) Paradise beach in Cozumel or the sea lion encounter at the park. May stay on boat for CM. This is our first time for Castaway Cay! Excited about it, but I'm worried about the water temperature. I don't get in the pool till it hits 86.

If everyone doesn't want shirts, another option would be to get the rubber wrist bands made. Those could be worn the whole week and we could spot each other around the ship. I'll post a pic on the fb page of the shirts. The wrist bands would be easy to get ordered and are cheap. (I think)

I started packing today!!! Yep- the Cruise box has my FE in it and is awaiting many more items as the year goes by. Changed my ringtone on my cell phone to the Disney horn today as well. I took it off after our last cruise because everytime the phone would ring, I would get sad.

We booked this cruise while on board the 9th Feb Eastern Caribbean.

We are Marian (49), DS Steve (49) and DS (7)
We are from Isles of Scilly, Cornwall, UK
Stateroom 7580
Second seating dining (probably)

This will be our 4th Disney Cruise.

You ladies always win... :rolleyes2
I have seen some pretty cheesy shirts in DW and other parks in the past, but if they look anything like the red ones you can count me in. I know one of my DD's may be resistant, but that's all in parental approach. ;)

Thank you for all the great advice, first hand accounts are always invaluable. We are casually researching and deciding what we want to do. We did discovery cove last May (which was incredible!), so we got our dolphin and stingray fix for a while.

We didn't enjoy the water in CC because we were itchy all over! the kids we're uncomfortable because of it.. Not sure if it's always this way but it was full of sea lice :(

I like the rubber band idea.. probably easier than having every one make shirts.. Do you know where we could get those?
