Marathon Weekend Weather

:scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1:

Wind Chill with any humidity factored in

Purely from a wind chill perspective - this represents a 10-15 mph wind

Two layers of throw down clothing!

Please stop coach. You're killing me.;) And my first full.......

Seriously, thanks for all the info. I always feel like I have inside info when I read DIS!

UGH. So not what I was hoping for. But, it is what it is, as they say. At least it looks like it will be dry.

With a 30 degree start for the half and full, I am thinking we won't get out of the 40's before the end of the half (for me around 9). Seems like the same for at least the first half of the full. I am going to plan on wearing my warmer stuff--vest and pants included. :cold:

oh boy....I know I wanted it colder than it's been the last few years, but:scared1:I don't know if I'll be able to move with all the layers I'm going to need!!

I think you're right. If it is really is 30 at the start, that's definitely tights, hat, and gloves weather because it won't warm up much in a few hours. And as you said, at least it should be dry.

Thanks Charles for those "feel like" temps. Back to the drawing board or rather my drawers to hunt down something else to cover my legs. Grr Brr I wanted cooler temps not THIS cold.

But I guess I'd still prefer this to 80's since I am a back of packer

I got frostbite on my hands and frre from Columbus when the start was 26!!!!

I'm really not looking forward to this.:scared1:

I am now running to my closet to get my "cold gear" under armour....a good investment after all!

Anne

I had to go and convert 15F. That's just *slightly* warmer than the temps here today. Yikes! Don't think I've ever done such a long race in cold weather before. Guess I won't be needing my shorts or t shirts.

A BIG THANKS to all those that were wishing for cooler temps. I blame this on you!:sad2:

Is that what it was when we started? I pulled up my pictures from Columbus last night to see what I was wearing and couldn't remember how cold it was.

Any idea how warm it got?

I don't know if Disney do this.....but if they give out wet sponges / faceclothes they will be frozen!!:lmao:

I've been so focused on what to wear during the race, that I now need to stop and figure out what to wear for my volunteer shift! I may have to bring some toe warmers and extra layers.

Duane

Yeah Duane. And now we will listen to all our 'Northern' neighbors (hey Chris) :rotfl: at the start saying "Cold. You call this cold. I remember one time it was so cold.......":lmao:

First I like cold weather and 30F with no wind would not be all that bad. A few of us at the office workout together when we are on the road. I am a healthy sweater meaing if you run with me you keep a couple feet away from the spray. The joke this AM is that much like the Tinman from OZ I may freeze up on World Drive as we haed into the teeth of the wind. My boss was wondering if MCO could bring de-icing equipment for me to run through every 5 miles.:rotfl2:

Anyone think that Disney may have a contingency plan for pre-race to help keep us warm? Maybe bring in busses we could wait in, or bring over a bunch of those outdoor heaters?

I can't believe that I'm leaving the freezing cold weather in Virginia just to have it waiting for me in sunny Florida, I'm so mad:mad: of course the day after I leave it will be 75 again:sad1:

I'm imagining pre-race to be like the scene in the movie Happy Feet where all of the penguins are huddled together to stay warm. "We all must take our turn on the outside!" :rotfl2:

It could be the largest group hug is WISH boards history!:grouphug:
