Marathon Weekend 2027

I do enjoy them but their episodes are SOOOOO LONG! I get that it is by design so they can fill up a long run during rD training, but not all of us are listening to them that way. And I agree they are very kind on the course. I often see Bob and always say hello and thank him for his community building.
I listen to all my podcasts on 1.3 setting. My husband HATES it but it's the only way I get through them all. For R&R, I often skip the individual race reports at the end, too.

A Disney running podcast? I’ll be checking that out today. You said it was “one” of the podcasts that covers Disney running, what are some others? I remember The Mickey Miles Podcast from years ago with Mike Scopa from WDW Today (the good version) but have never heard of others. Thanks.
There is a newer one, it might be getting close to a year in, but One More Run is another runDisney focused podcast.

I’m a firm 1.5 and still can’t keep up if I’m not running 6+ hrs a week. Husband also hates it so I have to slow down if we’re listening on a road trip.

Oh my gosh I was thinking about this podcast for the first time, in a long time, this week and it was killing me that I couldn't think of his name. Or the woman that also hosted actually. Thank you for at least partially filling that in for me!

  • So far that is the only other rD podcast I've put on my list to try. There are some podcasts that seems like I'd like them, but don't.
  • One of my other go-tos is the Survivor-oriented No Buffs, as I continue my efforts to be a castaway and become the oldest winner....
  • I'll have to give the 321 Go a try.
  • Yes, the R&R podcasts are long, which means I may listen to one over several runs, and I rarely hear the end of the podcast.
  • But I have enjoyed putting faces with people and voices I've heard. For instance, I just met Coach Twiggs last month, and in a recent podcast they talked to Ms Ferrin, who I saw on the course in Jan, but didn't know who she was at that time.
  • And yours truly has opened the podcast a few times, most recently for the episode that started with mention of Galloway's passing. I know it was a total coincidence, but I still felt honored to so. That said, it just reinforced that I have a voice for print media...

Coincidence verified.

R&R is the Rise and Run podcast, one of the podcasts about Disney running that I listen to on training runs.
During my time of post-surgery recovery and rehab, I wanted something to keep my head in running, even if my body wasn't. I "found" the R&R podcast and have enjoyed listening to it over the past 18 months.
FWIW, I've talked to them in person a number of time and attended meetups; they are also a good bunch of people.
I highly recommend their podcast and FB page to anyone looking for more rD-oriented content.
I like Rise & Run too. Am I the only person to notice that it feels like a bunch of runDisney-adjacent podcasters etc are from the Philly/South Jersey area?

I listen to and watch everything on 1.75x-2x speed where available. It has started to make listening to things at normal speed sound like the speaker has some type of impairment.

ETA: I listen to a lot of basketball/sports podcasts

Michelle Scribner Maclane. I love Scopa! Found out he and I went to the same school, too. Although he has about 25 years on me.

But maybe waking up early for the half would make sleeping before the marathon easier???
As a lifelong night owl who hates mornings, I can confirm that the multiple days of waking up early make it much easier for me (partially bc I can fall asleep earlier than my usual 12-2 am bedtime lol).

We need a code word to find each other in case we ever get cast on the same season… alliance! My fav Survivor podcast is RHAP.

I started waking up earlier at home about a week before I left for Princess, it helped a little bit.

The rD alliance! On the super down-low, like Kyle and Camilla!
Potential code words: Dopey, Goofy, or Grumpy

I forgot about RHAP; I've listened to that as well.
