This is a bit off topic but figured this would be best asked here because this group has the most experience with RD races and buying the shoes and there's been an ongoing discussion about when to expect the next online shoe drop. I don't think there's been a consistent time OR day (although I think they've started to settle on Wednesday?) but anyway, if you bought shoes online from any of the races, what day/time did it happen?

It's always been during the week immediately following the race, but day/time has been all over the place. Sign up for emails, keep checking the site (search "disney" while logged in) and/or follow the Telegram alerts. They could drop any time now.

Assuming they don’t change anything from W&D, no personal info is needed: the URL can be shared, but requires viewing source code for the page and pulling a little bit of code, then adding it to the base queue URL. Fairly simple, but dependent on knowing how to view the code on one’s selected platform. I know how to get there in Chrome, but no clue how to do it in Safari, for instance.

Did someone post the steps to do this? I'm not sure what to be looking for in the code.

Oh i’m not interested in actually buying lol, just curious about the data points. I think I might have figured out a way to get the timestamps though, sifting through now to see if I can grab them for all the weekends.

This is mostly via the other app, just searching for the first messages where drops are mentioned. There does seem to be a bit of a pattern developing where the drop is later in the day, and for the DL races the drops happened just after 5 pm local time.

Having a tough time making a call on registration.
I can secure Goofy through a charity now, or wait and hope for Dopey during general registration. Part of me really wants to just have it done, and I love the idea of supporting a good cause! Honestly, I don’t even like running the 5k and skipping the 1st day of expo is almost reason enough in itself!! .
But what about the fomo?? Asking those who understand the crazy best - will I regret it?

SAFD (on Wednesday…)
Been a busy week. I am hoping to go for my 12th MW and 11th Dopey. I guess I leave that to the registration gods. So am I anxious? Yes! Will I use every laptop/ipad/phone in the house? Yes! I truly love MW, the whole family is going again and we are back at WL, which makes me smile!

But it just comes down to luck. I might feel a little better as the other day I decided if Dopey doesn’t work then Goofy would still be great. But then while reading the responses to SAFD I saw that Goofy solid out before Dopey last year!

Having a tough time making a call on registration.
I can secure Goofy through a charity now, or wait and hope for Dopey during general registration. Part of me really wants to just have it done, and I love the idea of supporting a good cause! Honestly, I don’t even like running the 5k and skipping the 1st day of expo is almost reason enough in itself!! .
But what about the fomo?? Asking those who understand the crazy best - will I regret it?

I did the 5k and 10k at Princess and had no FOMO for the half. That was mostly due to my feet plain hurting after the 10k, I think the wet pavement played into that.

I got my 10k for MW with FORCE, and I have no desire to sign up for the 5k, or any other race. I’ll be quite happy being able to sit out registration and skip the stress.

I bought my Marathon Weekend shoes on the evening of Wednesday Jan 14. They didn't send out the text alert that they were on sale until Thursday morning though

I don’t think anyone has posted it publicly - and we probably ought to keep it that way? I’m not sure if it would make a difference or not, but I won’t be the one who outs it lol!

I had ZERO FOMO this year doing just the marathon. We were in town starting on Wednesday, and left the following Wednesday so fully participated in the week. Enjoyed the vibes, celebrated in others races, went to the meetup at HH, etc. I was completely relaxed and very happy I only had one early morning. I have never done dopey though, so there’s that. I did the SS challenge last April and while I had a great time, I’m perfectly content in just picking one or two races on race weekend. It keeps things more manageable -mind, body AND wallet!
