Clearly I am very clued in for this weekend many are sure I’m still signing up for.

And MW just won’t be the same if you are not there!!! Come on and at least try to register. In it’s not meant to be, you won’t get in. At least that’s what I am saying about my attempt to register!

I’ve been reading these replies to my husband and he has laughed every time. Maybe I DO need to make a “hold” reservation. Ugh. Have to figure out the use years and banking deadlines and all that jazz.

I've been thinking about ways to "share" links for the upcoming registrations and have a couple of ideas. Unfortunately they both involve sharing personal information. As I understand it, once someone has registered they can go back and register other people within the same link. My DD and I did this for W&D after she got instant FOMO after I registered. So after I complete my registration I can sign you up if you give me your personal information and either

• you give me your credit card data trusting I will never use it again, or
• I use my credit card and trust you will venmo me reimbursement (I think the much safer way)

Of course this can only be done by two of us who know and trust each other and should probably be agreed to ahead of time. This is friends signing up together, not anything against the rules.

What do you think?

SAFD: A little late to posting here. I have my bib for Dopey #6 secured through a charity. Reservations at OKW confirmed. My wife is going to try to get in for the half marathon on registration day. I think she may even try to get in for the 10k. This past weekend at PHM, she really got motivated to get running more. So I will be online also playing the registration game come registration day.

Assuming they don’t change anything from W&D, no personal info is needed: the URL can be shared, but requires viewing source code for the page and pulling a little bit of code, then adding it to the base queue URL. Fairly simple, but dependent on knowing how to view the code on one’s selected platform. I know how to get there in Chrome, but no clue how to do it in Safari, for instance.

This is a bit off topic but figured this would be best asked here because this group has the most experience with RD races and buying the shoes and there's been an ongoing discussion about when to expect the next online shoe drop. I don't think there's been a consistent time OR day (although I think they've started to settle on Wednesday?) but anyway, if you bought shoes online from any of the races, what day/time did it happen?
