We also did a double take on that one to recognize Minnie. Minnie usually has her hair bow, and maybe some polka dots. For runDisney it's normal for her to have running shoes and shorts, but the crown instead of the bow makes it less obvious for sure.

I actually like that Minnie doesn’t have her bow. Although I think the crown looks more like a kings crown than a queens but that is really nitpicky on my part.

SAFD: I am little late to answering. I am Team Driving. I like being in control of my timing. So I usually leave the hotel around 2:45am. Get into the parking lot at around 3am. Then I will put the seat back and rest for about 30 minutes. Have a snack if that is the plan for the morning. Then at 3:30am I will start my walk out to the corrals. If I try to make the meet up at the light pole, I will try to head out shortly after parking. I also like having my thoughts to myself in the morning and the quiet. The two times I have taken a bus, too much going on in the bus for me.

10K - Is Dale on a spring? Looks like he might be independent of the medal itself
Goofy - Does Goofy himself rotate? A la the 2022 Goofy medal? Mebbe. Hard to say

I wondered the same thing about Dale. He does look like he is out front more.

I like this line of thinking! Star Wars can pretty much be a science fiction fantasy western with mysteries and romance as well! So we should expect Star Wars EVERY day!!!!

I was thinking about the medals - particularly the half medal - last night and I realized why it is bugging me so much. The color doesn't fit with the rest of the them. Every other medal has dark colors and the pink is just very, very bold. I know that it fits with the "romance" theme, but maybe if they had used more reds, it would have worked better.

I’m not attending MW this time but I saw the medal release and had to come see the chatter.

I’m glad to see I’m not the only one who prefers a less is more approach. I really wish they’d drop the gimmicky themes. MW doesn’t need them. Save them for Springtime Surprise.

I would love it if MW would go back to a classic theme. Classic characters running. Although I do love Chip and Dale, so I like them hosting the 10k. Keep the characters as is, but get rid of the "themes". It's getting old now, and feeling like they're trying to hard to make it work.

One of my favorite medal designs is the Oswald 10k from 2020. So clean and understated, with a subtle Epcot vibe. That whole year was bangers, except for the Dopey medal, which suffers from having the most grotesque character on it.

I liked that all the medals that year has a similar hexagon shape as well, to tie them all together.

The yellow outline on Oswald and the yellow stripe both came off of my Oswald medal.

Yes, I earned this one and I love it! I also did the marathon that year for the first time and really love both those medals.

I know that Oswald is historically significant, but I still don't care for him.
Additional unpopular opinion: I don't like Clarabell the cow either. Not sure why, but maybe because she gives flashbacks to my childhood with aging relatives wearing way too much perfume and wanting hugs as my parents drove us around to "visit the kinfolk". Totally not fun when you are a single-digit age.
