Marathon Weekend 2026

I saw on a certain other site, they disabled queue link sharing in comments. They alluded to closing windows of unused queues making some sort of difference. I disagree! We have seen that we can share queue links and close the original windows, with no impact to the queue countdown. I believe each queue opened will remain "active" until it times out. I won't comment on the fairness of sharing links as opening multiple windows isn't "fair" by that standard either :hyper:

Ahh, that special time of year when I got the marathon registration, so I’m happy, but then I realize the training volume coming my way.

So I wanted the Goofy, which I ran this year, but had to settle for the half and the full separately. For people who were able to snag a challenge registration and convert individual races—how did you do it? Just register for challenge and then email RD?

I agree. I’ve closed windows before, and reopened them later and ended up with the same queue.

trying to register the masses today. Let’s see how it goes.
- 2 Dopey registrations
- 1 Marathon registration
- 2 10K registrations
- 2 5K registrations

Hoping that everything goes to plan and we get everyone in.
Coming back to report a successful (maybe too successful?) registration!! We got everyone in on one transaction! Let’s go 2026!

Well, I went ahead and registered for Goofy, despite how hard the marathon was this January. Maybe I’ll complete it if I mainly walk the half and take the full 7 hours for the marathon. Hope I’m not leaning sideways at the end this time. If I can’t make it, I will take a nice bus ride to the finish, collect my medal and snack box, and know not to try it again! I guess I’m a crazy old lady. Just ask my friends and family!

This morning's stress fest was the exact reason I go through a charity now especially since the good it does for the charities. Was happy to go through it to get my DD into the 5-K though. It feels odd however that at the moment she's the only one actualy registered since the charity has not sent out the registration link from Disney yet for my registration.

I am with you. I kept having the temptation to try to register still even though I already registered through the charity. Kept telling myself that others have done it, so trust it.

I am soo happy this year I will just being doing Half marathon training instead with Wine and Dine.

Similar thoughts here! I didn't have any lingering sadness that I wasn't signing up for Dopey. And I'm so relieved to not have the specter of the 20-23-26 mile long runs hanging over my head.

Just to put it on the record, I'm registered for the 10K and half and my best friend/travel partner is in for the 10K. I had thought about doing the 5K as well, but I just couldn't stomach $120 for a 5K.

i promised to try to make some kind of sharing site a while back where we can login and share links but i didnt learn how to actually do that kind of site till about 2 weeks ago using websockets.

so i am hoping to code something up for us to use that would have a little organization because having to refresh the boards and limited in sending too many posts in quick succession makes this hard. but if can copy paste links into some site where we can login too and then individually grab available links then it might be easier for us....assuming this same registration system continues in the future.

i am hoping i am smarter than i look and can actually do this.
