If I lose 100 lbs before MW (exaggeration), I’d love to wear the dress from My Date With the President’s Daughter.
I distinctly remember having stuff in this theme when I was 8 or 9 years old, so I think the theme is right on for people who were kids at that point. Maybe teens/college kids had moved on to grunge, but the younger generation hadn’t. And I don’t think Disney had yet either. The more I think about it, the theming is all wrong. The artwork is much more reflective of the late 80s than 1993. Grunge was the aesthetic from bands like Nirvana and Pearl Jam.
It's a little off-topic, but those are great pictures! The one in the Mickey hat is actually from my first WDW trip, taken during the Electric Light ParadeIt's a little off-topic, but those are great pictures! Thank you for sharing them.
Which cult favorite Disney movie was released in 1993? Hocus Pocus!Ooo… a sailor scout Disney Princess! I have lots of ideas haha. Can you tell I’m procrastinating work?
Also, which cult favorite Disney movie is getting a sequel in October 2022? Hocus Pocus!!Which cult favorite Disney movie was released in 1993? Hocus Pocus!
Sorry for the late reply. I'm not real active on the boards and we're busy getting the house ready to move. What do you mean by Volunteering pls?
Is that option open to anyone?![]()
Thank you!Ch-ch-ch-chip and Dale! YAAAAS! And love the retro theming! So very happy that they extended the PoT cut-off times - the ones for this year's marathon were literally BQ pace for me!
Another "welcome back" to @Ariel484!
My experience from MW 2022. I selected under 4 and had a 10 mile POT race but it was probably a minute past the cutoff they had. I got put in S3 which I believe was the first non POT corral. I would suspect if you submit that you will be put in the 4:30 to 4:45 corral.
@Ariel484 does this mean you are planning to participate? and welcome back. i hope you stick around a little.
Are you running MW again? If so, I hope I get a chance to see you! Chris and Paige are planning to run "just" the marathon.![]()
Nice to see you on the boards!!
The Goof Troop is already working on this
Good to see you back here again
Wanna talk about a MW topic outside of theme? COST. Ouch. My plan was to do the 10K and half... but I could instead just do 19.3 miles of the full for less - and even get a medal! I'd love to say I'm kidding, but honestly - I'm having a REAL hard time paying that much money for even "just" the half when the full is only $5 more.
Anyone want to remind me how much "fun" marathon training in August-Nov. in FL is?! Gah.
Last year I only ran the half because I knew I wasn't going to have the time for training. However, I totally resonate with what you're saying. The marathon seems like a steal compared to the other distances at only $8/mile.Wanna talk about a MW topic outside of theme? COST. Ouch. I heard the ELP song on the Disney Sirius channel in the car yesterday, complete with robotic intro, and tried to explain to my DD13 how magical that parade is (to no avail). I grew up in Southern CA with an AP to DL every year. That parade is my childhood. The one in the Mickey hat is actually from my first WDW trip, taken during the Electric Light Parade
Who gets to run in a Zack Morris sweater?

I LOVE that way of looking at the cost. It's only $8/mile!Last year I only ran the half because I knew I wasn't going to have the time for training. However, I totally resonate with what you're saying. The marathon seems like a steal compared to the other distances at only $8/mile.
So my plan is to run just the half on MW weekend. How risky is it to rent points now for a DVC room? I'm afraid that if I wait until after registration, the last few 1 bedrooms I'm eyeing will sell out.
Where would you pick: Riviera, VGF, BLT, Boardwalk
(Does the monorail typically run as morning transportation for the half?)
