Marathon Weekend 2017!

#Dopey2018.... just saying..... Might be a few others to join in on the chant... @FFigawi and @CheapRunnerMike

But in all seriousness. :sad1: Wish you were joining us. We've got to figure out a Chicago/Milwaukee race we can both fit in our schedules so we can go crush it together!

Ooooh a Chicago/Milwaukee race is intriguing. But only if we CRUSH IT! What's your thought on distance? (feel free to answer in my journal so I don't annoy these nice marathon people)
(I'm ignoring the Dopey 18 comment...for now)

To keep this on topic...if I signed up for the half and the castle wasn't part of it...I would cry. For real...tears.

Had my last 20 miler scheduled today, but I am a big diaper baby and was too c-c-cold by mile 15 as I passed my car so I just got in and came home. I then hopped on the stationary bike for an hour with the resistance turned up, I hope that is good enough but it's going to have to be now. I'm a little ashamed because a) I never have stopped a run early before, even in ice or snow and b) folks on here were posting much worse temps yesterday. My weather was, like, 20-25F over the course of my run with "windchill" of 10-15F. But, dang it, my hat got sweaty and I was freezing! Kudos to all you in the great midwest tundra, I couldn't do it.

Same here, wanted to do my last 20 miler today, but after 17 miles I was freezing like hell, so I decided to stop and took the car home.

For now... muhahahaha!

Any distance as I can run your pace for as little or as much as you want. Although if you want me to solo crush it then we'll have to look deeper into the schedules next year. We'll talk, but I think it would be fun!

Maybe you can get me to some boss 10k PR time which would probably be an easy pace for you. Ok, sorry everyone...going back to my lurking.

Chicago/Milwaukee race? I might be in for that too!

Another baby in the cold here. I just did 17 on the treadmill and will do another 3 easy just because I like even numbers. I am only claiming the 17 though--I had to go get one of my kids from the bus stop or I would have done the 20 "on the mill". I am the freak who doesn't mind the treadmill, but how I hate the cold.

I'm seeing no mention of the Clif Bar pace team (nor do they have a booth at the expo?) Anyone seeing anything different? Disney is still not listed on the clif bar pace team website. My mom was really hoping to use them.

I believe there are going to be Jeff Galloway pace teams!

RACE - Marathon
NAME - Wendy
DIS'er name - Wendy98
Costume/Clothing - undecided. I have what I wear for my racing team, but usually only wear that in local/regional races. I would love a costume or something more fun for this race. Suggestions (I don't do skirts)?
Corral - Elite
Early Bird or Late Arriver - For a marathon, usually early, but damn this race starts so early!
Front, Middle, or Back of corral - Hope to be right up front and figure out who to latch onto for pace.
Expected Pace - 7-7:10. I have some injuries that are still giving me slight issues and I would like to enjoy this marathon (well as much as I can enjoy a marathon). I also don't want to seriously hurt myself since my kids will want to go to the parks as soon as I am done running!
