You know mentioning something you're claiming to ignore isn't the most effective way of ignoring it.![]()
OMG, that is a lot of people in a choke point for sure. I've never seen pictures from then, but now I can see how crazy it is.
It's possible.
What was your starting corral in that race? I've never seen anything like that. It's nuts and I would hate conditions like that!
I want a sub 5h too (but also not likely)!RACE - Marathon
NAME - Tobias
DIS'er name - DerTobi75
Costume/Clothing - not sure
Corral - I
Early Bird or Late Arriver - early
Front, Middle, or Back of corral - Middle
Expected Pace - 11-12mm
Try to achieve three goals:
1. Finish running, only walking for waterstops
2. Negative Split
3. Sub 5h (not very likely, but, maybe who knows)
Well I hope everything works out for you. That doesn't sound good.Apparently runDisney hates me, they fixed me having 3 bibs and have put me in corral N. Seriously upset now and questioning if I ever want to run Disney again.

Do you plan to stop for any Characters?Hey, me 3! (Along with the not likely!)
Or the wife is in I and you are in the dog house...I am in H and my wife in is I! Ha ha! Take that, sweetie!
Ahem.... I mean my wife and I are in I.
Disney is a good race from any corral. I would definitely take print outs of whatever you have to runner relations including forms showing the 3 bibs. While they say "no expo changes" I know that some people have been able to get changes made at the expo at runner relations even after that rule was implemented. That being said it's not guaranteed. The more documentation you have the better chance you have for a change though.Apparently runDisney hates me, they fixed me having 3 bibs and have put me in corral N. Probably not. I do enjoy seeing them as I run by but it would have to be something pretty special for me to stop. What about you?Do you plan to stop for any Characters?
That sucks! I had the same POT this year as last and I went from I to O. Just means I won't have as many character stops as last year.
I will see you at guest relations then? Haha. It is a bummer - one of my biggest motivations for my last minute registration was that I'm in my best running shape right now post wine and dine, and wanted to push for a PR this time. And use that PR to get a great corral for dark side pics since I am a Star Wars nerd.
Thanks guys! I have had a rough time with runDisney since transferring to Dopey. It's frustrating when you feel like you follow the directions to a T and they want to be careless. I emailed track shack to see if they can help me, if not I'll try runner relations with my print outs and if that doesn't work I guess I'm going to be running from N. I was just hoping for a bigger cushion for my first marathon.Disney is a good race from any corral. Thanks Keels! I am definetly going to try that approach and hope it gets me somewhere.Print out all three waivers, your most recent registration (for Dopey) AND your PoT, and head to Runner Relations as early as possible. Be very nice and just ask them what you could do better for next time because your corrals are all over the place. The challenge adds a TINY bit of a curve, but not something as significant to drop you back to N for Dopey.
I've had success at Runner Relations (and I learned where I messed up so I don't do it again in the future!) - I definitely think that with the right attitude, you've got a great shot at being moved to a better corral ... especially given how many people were (and still are!) transferring from single races into the Challenges.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! I know how hard you've been working and that you deserve the best Dopey experience you can have!
