Now for those that are at or have already gone to the expo, what items have already sold out? I will not be getting up there until late Friday morning.
Guess what today is besides Expo day... Its Kings Day. Now you may ask why this is important, and the answer is simple. It's the official start to carnival season and KING CAKE!!!! I am thinking hard about going get one to take with me to Disney... for you know... carb loading purposes.
QOTD: Since carbs are mentioned, where are you eating and planning on eating to carb load for your races?
ATTQOTD: We are going to eat at Mama Melrose's - spaghetti.
Park hours question: MK is only scheduled to be open until 9pm on Sunday. I feel like marathon Sunday was pretty busy in MK last year; does anyone remember if they extended park hours last year?
We've waited until very last minute to purchase our park tickets, so I'm debating whether it's worthwhile to pay the extra $50 for a park hopper. I'll definitely be going back into Epcot after the race on Sunday, and my original plan had been to spend Sunday night at MK before we head home on Monday.
I'm probably in the minority, but I liked the orange. I would like all of the shirts to be neon. I think rD would get a lot of complaints if I was designing things.
I'm with you on that one. My wife just rolls her eyes when I go shopping for athletic apparel. If there isn't at least some neon on it, it is not even up for consideration. It's definitely a good thing I'm not designing for rD.
Tonight pasta somewhere after expo - probably in HS so we catch last night of Osborne lights (we were there for opening before W&D weekend - it's fitting to bookend it), Be Our Guest Thursday, Tony's Town Square Friday, Tutto Italia Saturday and Royal Table celebration on Sunday.
I really like the forecast for Sunday now! Much better than it has been - of course it will probably change but I'll enjoy the anticipation of decent weather for now.
QOTD: We'll be eating at Mama Melrose on Saturday (2:15 if anyone else is there around that time) and have a reservation for Shulas on Sunday night to hopefully celebrate. I'm really excited for Shulas so I'm hoping my appetite is ready by night fall!

I was about person 25-30 in there and it was mostly the Dopey stuff that went like a plague of locusts came through, especially the men's jackets and the capris.
I got the Dopey pullover, hat, capris and some I Did It shirts and pins and was out in less than 15.
Of the people shopping, I did recognize QUITE a few people from Dopey/Challenge FB groups I'm a member of.
QOTD: We are eating a late breakfast at Captain's Grille on Saturday morning - I'm thinking pancakes, French toast, or waffles. I think I'll be eating light the rest of the day.
This time tomorrow I'll be boarding a plane for Disney! I never thought I would be so excited to run 26.2 miles!!
If anyone is interested, prior to the start of the marathon before heading to the corrals, potentially a small group of us from Louisiana are going to say a short little prayer. Let me know if you are interested and I'll post the details as plans become more concrete as far as exact location and time.
That's why scissors were invented. I have more Run Disney sleeveless shirts than I can count. SW FL full timer freezing my butt off right now getting ready to go to the EXPO.
McFlurry John
thunder means lightening = cancellation for the HALF????
Cancelling the half would be just my luck right now. Just got back from the expo and I discovered, too late, that I left my purchases in the bus. They are trying to track it down, not I'm not very hopeful...
Ugh! Equipment change - new plane brought from hanger and 30 min delay...
Never used the expo buses before - does anyone know if the bus is direct from Beach Club to expo or does it stop at all the Epcot resorts before going to the expo?
Here's a question for you experts. If you were driving to the marathon from the Dolphin, what is the latest time you would leave?
And on an exciting note, I just got a message from my niece who lives in Orlando. She was able to get mine and DH's "I Did It" shirts at the expo. Now I just have to do it!
QOTD: We may go to the food court at Art of Animation for the make your own pasta meal. Before both W&D's that Ive done I have gone there to get pasta, chicken, spinach and pesto. Its actually pretty good for food court food.

I'd leave between 415 and 425. It's a quick right onto Buena Vista and another one onto World Drive to get to Epcot. We left at those times from BW last year and were parked in 15-20 minutes all four days.
