Good morning everyone!!

Thought I would get this started today.....how was everyone's weekend?

We had nice weather here in MD this weekend - in the low-mid 70's...I was able to have the sliding glass door open while I was home.

I didn't do anything on Saturday, but did 5 miles on the TM yesterday. I did 3 miles in the afternoon (then Mom's purse was stolen when she was out and about so had to deal with the police, and trying to find it), then did 2 miles about 8pm.

How did everyone else do?

BTW my wrist measures just under 8.

Have a great Monday!!

good morning! i had an early jog this humid hot day here in the great buckeye state :) I walked approx 1/2 mile each for warm-up/cool-down -- then I headed to my path and found it flooded!! So i just looped around the neighborhood some, I'm guestimating between 3.5 - 3.75 miles jogging. I did the whole schmele in 55 mins. Then I topped it off with 10 mins ab pilates and 10 mins yoga.

i hope to get a nice 2 mile walk in this evening as well:teeth:

OK- sorry about posting another thread for this! I didn't realize Monica had already started one.
Anyway- here's the workout schedule for the next 2 weeks from my trainer for those taht are interested-

today- rest
tues- 1 mile
weds- 2 miles
thurs- 1 mile
fri - 2 miles
sat- rest
sun- 5 miles
mon- rest
tues- 1 mile
weds- 2 miles
thurs- 1 mile
fri- 2miles
sat- rest

I have had time to go back and read all of yesterday's posts. We were busy yesterday weren't we!?!?! YEAH ALL OF US!

Grammy- I'm pming you with the wrist size.

beth- I would love a copy of your cd- I'll pkm you with my addy.

Ashley- Thanks for the info on the camelback. I'm so gald that you included the info about it holding the cd player etc. I'm gonna take a few minutes hwen I'm done here and look into that thing. It sounds like something I would probably make excellent use of. Is the waist band on it generous?

Beth- CSR being a destination of world geopgraphy makes perfect sense to me. You may want to checlk out the BW as well- so they can see what the north eastern US is like!

Debbie- welcome back! I'm glad your knee is getting better. At first glance on your post I thought you said you were going psycho and excercising on your knees! I thought that was a little strange!

Meme- another reason why I feel so at home here. I too, cannot burn cd's. BUT I WILL LEARN!

Krista- sorry the NASCAR was so bad. You mentioned OKW being too expensive- have you tried renting points from a DVC owner? It's very reasonable then. Most rent for $10.00/point- so a room (studio) in January would only be $80.00/night- not too bad for sucha great resort!

ibounce- I'm glad yuo're back- we did miss you! About the rooms- I spoke to Kamy last week and she said she talked to the CM at WDW taht she is working with and that the info should be in the computers in the next few days. When it is- she will post a thread concerning it- so keep your eyes out for that. Daily check in is a really good idea. It keeps me on the go and is really fun to see how people improve with time. We'd love to see you here daily.

Well- I think I'm off to do my 4 miles this morning. Have a good excercise day everyone!

Just getting my reward for finishing my 4 miles today- and that reward is reporting to you all to tell you I did it! Next Sunday- it's 5 miles..... now that ought to be interesting!

Hope everyone does well in their workouts today.

I walked today.....I walked today.....I walked today!

OK, big deal....did a 30 min walk this morning...went with my neighbor who walks every day. I'm so glad to have a walking partner, makes it more of a commitment when someone else is expecting you!::yes::

karebear, would you mind posting or PM'ing me what your schedule looked like about three weeks ago? I had planned on following yours, but wandered off into sugar oblivion. I don't think doing 5 miles this week would be a good idea for me yet....so whatever the schedule was like two or three weeks ago might be better. Thanks!

Have a great day everyone....now back to work!

Hi ladies!! Hope your Monday is doing well.....

Jackie---any amount of walking IMO IS a big deal!! You did something, and that's what counts. Glad you have a walking buddy - it does help to get ME of the couch some days!

Karen---GREAT JOB doing your 4 miles!! WOOHOO!! Thats fabulous!! Thanks also for posting the next 2 week training schedule....I know I haven't exactly been following it, but I like having that as a gauge. Real big thanks for posting that you talked to Kamy --- I think that'll help all of us knowing that we haven't missed that email.

Ashley---thanks for your feedback about the Camelpak-I was considering the backpack style (instead of the fanny pack style) but after what you wrote that your brother said, I may be reconsidering (or do I want this type for the added warmth that I'll have in January???). Thanks also for the spread sheet with the info you have.

Molli---Flooding, huh?? Does this mean you now have to take goulashes (sp?) with you when you walk?? :D Good for you tho to keep going.

Keep up the great work everyone!!

Beth - so gla you like POFQ - makes me feel safe. I am looking forward to it.

Karen - I am proud of you! 4 Miles WHOOOOHOOO:bounce:
How do I look into buying points? Thought you could only do that if you were a a member too.

I will workout tonight! I will workout tonight!
I'll tell you what happens later,

Krista

Krista- I'll pm you about the points...

Jackie- my schedule from a month ago was the following:

Today- 15 mins.
tues-rest
weds- 30 mins.
thurs- rest
fri- 30 mins.
sat-50 mins.
sun- 15 mins.
mon-rest
tues- 50 mins.
weds.- 20 mins
thurs- 30 mins
fri-20 mins
sat-rest
sun- 60 mins.

Oh. and I know this came up before, but I can't rmemeber who asked. I asked my trainer today about my speed- because I don't seem to be improving on that at all. She said I don't even need to worry about speed right now. She's worried about endurance and said that we have plenty of time to work on the speed. She also said I've made tremendous strides!
:teeth: and that we are almost half way through the half marathon! So- think endurance first- speed second- at least for now!

Glad to know I could relieve some stress concerning the rooms for the marathon.

Okay Karen
Endurance first then speed. That helps a lot. I am going to walk more and run a little less so I can last longer.

Thanks!

I ran/walked tonight for 30 minutes - thought it was better than doing nothing.

Have a good night everyone!

Krista

I am still here - exercising and staying OP with WW points - will continue tomorrow and Wed too, but I have something going at lunch time and in the evenings and that just doesn't give me much time at all to post.

ohmom coming for a visit Wed evening until Friday - so she can update you that I am "behaving" :p

A teenie-tiny snafu on my "surprise" to be able to quickly mail (translates into = the person who is really making them - has a backorder from a supplier -oh pooh -but hopefully soon I can report - they are mailed)

Luv you guys - keep up the good work and I'll "pop-in" when I can !

grammy- we'll miss you, so please be sure to check in- I want to know how you're doing with your no eating after 7 and you workouts. We love you too grammy!

I RAN! I RAN! I RAN I RAN I RAN!!! AND I REALLY DIDN'T WANT TO. Just writing to let you know that I went and did my training today although there was not a single part of my body that wanted to go run today except for the teeny tiny portion of my body that still gets excited about getting a sticker. I hated every minute of my run today. The only time I got motivated was when I was finished and I passed a very large man wearing a Walt Disney World T-Shirt. But, I was walking ot my car and there was NO WAY I was gonna go do it again.

So, that's my news! Not much else. I need to run to bed. I have some reading to catch up on. I have lots of books going, and none of them are very small!

I have a motivating quote in mind, but I will have to look up how the words actually go, and I think I will do that.... later. ("Procrastination is the art of keeping up with yesterday." That is NOT our motivating quote, although it is one I really like and tend to live by.)

You all sound like you are doing SO WELL. I thought of you while I was running and thought about the sweeper today. If I feel like I felt today at that marathon, I WILL be swept up, no doubt about it.

HERE WE COME, DONALD!

Ashley:wave2:

I had written a long post but had too many
:rockband: :rockband: :rockband: :rockband: :rockband:
for each of you, so it sent me back to "fix" my post but then it was gone. Grrrrrrrrr. Anyway, I basically said that everyone of you certainly :rockband: and I'm so excited to see what everyone is doing.

Keep up the great work!

Karen, thanks for posting your schedule and your trainers' tips.

Jackie, welcome back.

Have a great day everyone!
Very very wet here. I walked 22 minutes before the skies opened up again and looks like that will be all for today.

Good morning!!

Ashley- way to go going on a run when you really didn't want to

Granny - thanks for posting when you can - we like knowing you're still around!!

Karen - I'm glad you posted that your trainer still said time is not important (yet) but more the endurance....I'm struggling with the time aspect too......but I WILL NOT BE SWEPT!!!

Beth - good job getting even 22 min in before the rain.

Krista - 30 min----anything is better than nothing!!

I, for 1, did not do anything last night - I was exhausted, and asleep before 730pm (awake from 2-3am, then asleep again until 7a). I just hope I'm not getting sick...that would soooo not be good!!

I'll check in a little later!!

Have a great Tuesday!

Hi all

I walked 2 miles around the neighborhood last night and will do the same tonight.

Thanks for keeping me motivated:wave2:

I quit my gym last night as I never go, it's been 3 months. Since the weather is nice I prefer to be outside. I'll have to get that tm now for training in the winter:)

I still can't believe I'm doing this. It so boggles my mind when I think about it :earsboy:

Here is a quote to ponder

"VISION without action is merely a dream."

Everyone seems to be having a very exciting and motivating day! I came back from work and I had a ton of postings to read - Oh how exciting!

Aunt MeMe - you are doing this - we all are! It's soooo crazy!
but uplifting too

MisShoe. How are you feeling now? Sometimes are bodies just need a recooperation day>

Congrats Ashley on running. I ran last night too - the longest I have. I hated the way I felt after (at first) but then when I got home I felt good that I didn;t give up.

AE Granny - Looking forward to your updates!

Krista

Whew... Just got done with Crunch Pilates. Feel good!!

Quick post, just wanted to update you...

I have been bringing my own cereal, fruit, and Boca Burgers. I bring blueberries because they are SO good right now, and they are great for munching on. I have been letting the kids pick the main part of the meal for lunch, but every day I ask if one of them will share some fruit with me, and take out oranges, apples or kiwis. This is the fruit that is in there house. They have both said "yes" every time I have suggested this! :D One day the boy dumped sugar all over the kiwi, but we pointed out to him that this is not necessary because kiwi is already sugary. It may be small, but it is a start, I think! Today we went to the movie theater and instead of getting popcorn adn pop (they don't like pop, anyway), I took water and they took their own lemonade. Then, we brought in our own granola bars and fruit snacks. Once again, small, but a start. It felt good to walk out of the movies not feeling all greasy, and we saved the same amount of money by not getting popcorn to allow us to go see another movie next week. I hope we can see The Terminal!! OH! Also, the girl, 12 y.o., is going to start doing my pilates dvd with me. I asked her mom if it would be okay to bring it by and see if she would be interested, and she said she would try it. Today she actually got bummed that we didn't ahve time to do it! I love the idea of having someone to share this with. Now, if only the two kids would just get along...

I just wanted to share this little success with all of you. I don't know where you all went, but hopefully nobody was posting today because we were all busy enjoying the weather and exercising! Keep it up, ladies!! You women never cease to amaze me! Thanks for the inspiration that you give me daily, I wouldn't be here without you.

:sunny: Ashley:wave2:

Hi KIds....didn't check in yesterday......busy, busy...but I did my walk. Today was a 'rest' day, but at work we were moving offices and reconfiguring cubicles, so I had a lot of extra movement, including some lifting and carrying. So I feel like I had a mini work-out! Tomorrow is a 30 min walk, so I'd better hit the hay. (It's already 90 degrees here by 8am, so I have to go out early, early, early!)

Keep up the good work everyone. I'm going to put I sign on my fridge....."I WILL NOT BE SWEPT!"

Well everyone- I got my 1 mile in today- but did it outside this evening with my DH. It was very warm today- almost 90, but it was breezy, and had cooled down probably to 75 by 9 o'clock. The sun was down and it was perfect walking weather. I really enjoyed getting out today and I actually walked up and down hills- with no back or hip pain! THAT is really GOOD!

Ashley- I'm so proud of you for taking over in your job! I would not catagorize what you are doing there as little steps- I think they're giant steps! Good work girly!

Ibounce- good for you for getting out yesterday! I know it's beenhard for you to and I'm glad that you are determined to walk this week. Good luck tomorrow with the 30 minutes!

meme- I know what you mean about the gym and not going- but I have been thinking about joining one. Not sure what I'll do though! I may just wait until the fall now since it's good weather now.

Well everyone- I'll talk to y'all tomorrow!

Sorry I didn't check in yesterday -- crazy at work, and moving stuff around at home last night. Didn't get a chance to walk yesterday, but I did get some exercise in by moving boxes around at home. Am trying to get motivated to start on atleast 1 room now so that when it's time for me to pack for my move there will be less to do then....not sure if this plan will work, but I'm willing to try

I'm still feeling run down - not fun...maybe I'll "catch up" this weekend. I have had NO energy for much at all!

Ashley - WAY TO GO with your job!! That's fabulous!!

I'm proud of all of you - you guys :rockband: !!!

:thewave:

Have a great day!
