Marathon De-Cluttering

Help , thought we'd start the task this morning , Dh's gone to work, so it's just my DD's and I to tackle their bedroom's and de-clutter ready for Xmas. Well I'm pretty sure you can guess who's doing all the work , their busy playing with the things they'd thought had fallen into that great big black hole . Wish me luck

Good luck with that! I made my youngest DS do his room last half term - I'm very glad we did, as my in-laws are coming for New Year and (much to his disgust) they'll be holed up in there!

Well 6 black bags later we're done!!, BUT I have to say I wish we we're more brutal in throwing things away, I just don't have the heart to , but their rooms look sooo much better, I'm pretty sure that won't last long but they've had their warnings . Now I'm ready for a kip

I started this the other day LOL lets say its on going,and them big bags of old toys and broken bits keep getting rummaged through! she insists she STILL uses half of them

Well following your fabulous example I started yesterday! I got 2 huge bin bags full of rubbish - I was ruthless though and if I hadn't used it for 12 months then it was outta there! The funniest things was that I left Harley playing in his cot and he fell asleep, then Shelby was playing in her room and she started copying me and was tidying up her room too! I can actually start packing for the holiday now as I know (roughly) where things are! ha ha Thanks for the inspiration!

Your welcome , let's just say my moment of madness has now left our household for a while now as my eldest DD start's with the opening of our local panto tomorrow Beauty & The Beast but nothing like what we're all used to , she's been busy rehearsing for the last 2 weeks!!

I know how you feel - we have to de-clutter the loft ready for our loft conversion int he new year. We have tons of stuff up there and I'm absolutely dreading it. My DH is such a hoarder as well - he's going to have to learn to be ruthless, I think

Good Luck , I have to say that myself and my DH are hoarder's too, I hate throwing things away, BUT sometimes it just has to be done . I don't even think we could get in our loft for the rubbish that has accumulated up there over the years , you know those things you keep just in case
