Marathon Crowds

We are heading to Disney in the morning and was wondering how the crowds were around marathon weekend? Are the parks really super crowded? It is what it is at this point. Probably will go to our first park Sunday. When does the crowds start to thin out again after marathon? Just curious, thanks!

I would actually like to know for my own self as well.....but for the November races.

Parks will be fine. It's traffic getting to the parks you'll have to worry about. Lots of road closures for us runners so be sure to give yourself an extra hour on top of the recommended hour in the mornings to get to any reservations.

I don't think it noticeably increases crowd levels at the parks. Participating in the marathon takes up most of your weekend, with packet pick-up, a VERY early bus to the start, and resting. Most people don't really want to walk miles upon miles the days before and after a race.
