I did! I did!
Only ran 3.7 in neighborhood. Did it in 30 min.
May get on the trainer tonight...but may not! Feeling lazy after all the food!
And...my the right of my booty has a little pain in it. I am not sure why though. Feels like I have kinda pulled something. Sorry...TMI!
OK! I just got cleaned up from getting on the trainer....
Nothing like watching Hannah Montana (SP?) while riding the bike!
Did an hour....that normaly gives me around 20 miles on the road but not sure on the trainer.
Just barely getting out there every so often and only doing 2 miles at most. But I do know I definately want to sign up for 2009 but not sure if I want to do the half or the full. I am sure as of right now I can do the half (I mean 13.1 miles is not much more than the 8.1 I just did at TOT) but I REALLY REALLY want a Mickey medal so my DH thinks I should just plan on the full for 2009. I have a year to train so I am sure I should be able to do it - its just that 26.2 is a LONG LONG LONG way!! LOL
After almost a week off due to the holiday(I know, bad excuse!) I finally went back to the Y last night. Instead of the treadmill, I went upstairs and checked out their indoor track. It was pretty nice actually, and was sooo much better than walking to nowhere on a treadmill! There were four "sides", 2 short, and 2 long. I walked the longs and ran the shorts after my warmup walking. The further I went, the better I felt! I lost track, but I probably went close to 3 miles. I have to work tonight, but I plan to go back and do it again tomorrow!
I have been really sick since after Thanksgiving but today I actually ran again. It was only 2 miles before the pain returned, but I RAN!!! Hopefully, the minor derailment is back on track finally. Even if I have to build back up, just getting back out made me feel better!!
WOW! All you speedy people! I don't even feel worthy posting here. But, I will anyway.
I haven't decided what I'm going to do for 2009. Probably the half. I'm participating in the '08 marathon and hoping to survive it one piece. I have to say that the main reason I signed up for the full was to get that special Mickey medal and now I'm starting to doubt my sanity. I am so not ready at this point. I have a feeling that I'll be crawling at the end....if I even make it make it that far. I guess as long as I can crawl at a 16-minute pace, I'll be ok. I'm sure Bill's EMT buddies will be following me around.
As for the Goofy filling up fast this year, I wonder if it's because of the special Mickey medal/15th anniversary? I may have to try for that some day...if I can lose some serious weight. Maybe by Mickey's 20th anniversary.
I'm sorry if I missed this, but does anyone know the dates yet for 2009? I am assuming it will be January 10-11, but would hate to be wrong. Howard and I are planning a vow renewal to be scheduled based on the marathon dates, and I want to be sure I have the right weekend in mind.

Thank you so much, Robert! We had already requested a date from Disney Fairy Tale Weddings based on my memory or guess (don't recall whether I'd actually heard the date or seen it somewhere, or if I'd guessed it. ). I feel much better now, knowing I don't need to revise my request.
Bumping this up...
I am starting to get depressed posting on the other thread b/c everyone is focused on WDW...not that I blame them.
Just thought I would get this going again to talk about races other than WDW...
Christa - I know you're just getting over Charlotte, but what's next on your horizon?
I've got the Goofy coming up (but we don't want to talk about that here ) and then probably the Wirefly National Marathon in D.C. at the end of March. The only problem is that the National Marathon would make 4 fulls in about 10 months . I may just go for the half depending on my state of mind come late Feb.
Well, I think my dh and I are going to do the 1/2 in 2009. I had lapband surgery on 12/7 and am committing to exercise and weightloss this year. I can't think of a better motivator and reward than completing the Disney 1/2 marathon!
