Mans stomps baby geese to death in RI...

I wonder if he would have reacted the same way if it had been a mother dog and her pups?

When I saw the headlines I couldn't bring myself to get the details. But seeing that I live in Attleboro it is hard to escape.

My town is unfortunately best known for the killings of baby geese and baby starving cult members.

I used to work at that Texas Instruments campus in Attleboro -- there were always geese around, it was always fun to go on lunch and feed them, etc. And you guys are right - then some nut goes ahead and does something like this. I hope he gets what he deserves and not just a slap on the wrist.

What a total freak of a man! Did you see his picture too? He looks like a nut. Of course his Mamma said he was a nice guy and this is against his character. Right!

How anyone can do something this sick is beyond my understanding.

Don't forget paddleboro!!
I actually spoke to the one of arresting officers, who is a friend of the family, on Sunday. It was a really disturbing sight - 2 of the goslings were flat as a pancake on the lot. The guy was arraigned today and is free on $1000 bail.

I have no doubt in my mind that he would not have hesitated to kill puppies either. Or kittens. I'm pretty sure someone like this would easily harm a child too. Most serial killers started off by hurting animals...

If he works for TI and it was on the TI campus, I hope he gets fired too.
Robin M.

He actually was fired by his temp agency

Gosh, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed that day. Seriously though folks there are two sides to every story, so let the defendant make his case and let's hear his side of the story.

Jail time for this? I don't think so. We have too many dangerous criminals (murderers, rapists, drug dealers, etc.) being released from prison early because of overpopulation problems, etc.

Community service? Yes.

I know where you are coming from. I think that it's a shame that "Texas" has to be linked to nearly every negative news story these days. We have dragging death of a black man, the cheerleader's mom, the Houston divorcee who ran over her hubby in her Mercedes, Andrea Yates, the mom stoning her children to death, and now we have this incident occur at Texas Instruments. I could go on, but I won't.

This jerk deserves to be stomped on for awhile to see how he likes it. People like this make me sick. They don't deserve to be around other living creatures.

:Actually, I think he should be forced to wear a shirt that says "I'm the man who stomped the 2 week old baby geese to death" everywhere he goes...

Brilliant idea

Geez! He must be related to the teenagers our community is on the lookout for. One man is filing a complaint with the police. His dog was in pain a day so he took it to the vet. Found out the poor thing was shot in the tummy with a bebe gun. (I'm sure that's not the spelling, but dictionary.com is no help.) The idiots shot the dog when it was in its own backyard. This was posted a day or two after a notice to keep an eye out for teens on the golf course at night shooting at the backs of homes. Just wait till the jerks are caught!!

Add to that anger management.

But I'm curious as to what there could possible be to "his side of the story" that would make anyone of us think differently of him and the punishment some believe he should get

I think 30 days in jail PLUS 30 days community service PLUS anger management is quite appropriate.

First of all, there's a difference between a large state having horrible things occur in the news and a tiny city in a small state that has been on national news repeatedly over the past few years for bizarre things. Don't fret about Texas being lumped in on this - no one around here calls it Texas Instruments it's TI.

As far as hearing his side of the story, he and his family have stated his side of the story. The mother goose hissed at him. He felt threatened, so he decided to stomp on the goose and the goslings. You aren't suggesting there is a reasonable or rational excuse for such a horrendous example of animal cruelty against a protected species, are you?

And as far as I am concerned, and I'm sure if I had time to look for stats I could find some to back this up, people who won't hold back their anger on a baby animal, will most likely not hold back on a child either, like that lunatic in Zion IL who snapped and stabbed his own precious child and her friend to death.

People who have no empathy or sense of control when it comes to harming the defenseless are dangerous. They deserve jail time. I have NO doubt that this man would have gone after a child if he'd say, tripped over a childs toy in the park.

No empathy. No sense of right and wrong. No control over ones angry outbursts. = Bad and dangerous combination.

Thinking of the poor geese makes me feel sad but when I read the story and got to the part about him slipping in the goose poop I had to visualize the scene and I did start laughing because that part was pretty hysterical, but the rest of the story has me very upset. What a freak. He should be stomped to death too.
