Manchester airport hotel recommendations

Anybody recommend an airport hotel (Manchester) where we can stay night before travel and leave car there for 2 weeks? and approx 10 mins from airport. Don't want to spend too much but don't want to stay in a flea pit either.

Have a look at the Hallmark Hotel near Handforth, it's approx. 3 miles from the airport and has transfers etc. It's either £109 or £119 depending on what night of the week you stay.
I've never stayed there myself as we're close enough to the airport not to need to stay over but it would be my preference.

But let me know where you're thinking of if it's not one of the on-site airport hotels and I'll happily let you know about the surrounding area - it can be hot or miss near the airport!

We stayed at the Marriott and staying there again this year. You can book a package for 15 nights parking, and a taxi takes you to and from the airport, it's literally 5 mins away. It's a nice hotel, comfy beds. They also let you leave your car actually at the hotel, instead of faffing around taking it to some lock up like some cheaper options do. I believe the package was around £150, which I thought was ok including the parking.

Radisson Blu. On the airport at T2. You can book with parking or book Meet and Greet at T2. They are both equally as convenient so it's worth pricing it up. The Radisson is a great hotel with bar with food, restaurant, pool, gym and spa and is three minutes from your room to checking in at T2. My first choice every time.

Stayed at one of the Premier Inns a few times. So cheap, one is much nicer than the other. Then booked a Skyparks Long Stay. Was the cheapest way both times we did it.

Usually pay about £25-£30, although this year its £40 (waiting for a discount code) 25 nights Meets & Greet has cost me £65.
There is a good Indian restaurant next door and 10 min walk to pub/restaurant.

Don't know where you are coming from, we drive from south Sheffield (about 90 mins from Man) we've stayed at some of the airport hotels where the price includes parking. We always booked a family room, got no sleep (everyone excited and in the same room) and still had to get up early to sort ourselves out then downstairs early to wait for a bus to take us the short trip to the airport.

Decided that it's not worth it as it's more inconvenient instead we pack and get everything ready for an early start, sleep in our own beds and use the meet and a greet to park.

Just a thought

We have gone the opposite way, we always used to stay home the night before as we are only 1 hour from Manchester airport but about 2 years ago we decided to try staying closer, at the hotel we go out for a meal and a drink then earlier to bed, later to rise. At home we go to bed late and then early rise. The holiday now starts as soon as we get to the hotel, far more relaxing but our Son is 22 so excitement and struggling to sleep ended years ago

We did meet and greet (on Wayne's recommendation) in December and it was great. Booked with Looking4parking the VIP Meet and Greet, it was £61.68 for 20 nights over Christmas and New Year.

Park & Go are also quite good but can't see a code just now(upto 15% at times) Quidco usually quite good for them (lower rate if code used)

Yeah we are near to Birmingham and could do the early rise but I still won't sleep the night before for worrying about the m6 traffic would rather go night before and have a leisurely drive up. Thanks for all your tips will look into them all!

Have a look at the Marriot in Hale too. The San Carlo restaurant there is a favourite of many of the local premiership footballers but is also lacking in pretentiousness and does a lovely house prossecco

I'd prefer a hotel with parking rather than hotel and then drive to a car park. Trying to get a cheap deal in october was pointed to via TC Britannia Country House hotel, reviews on TripAdvisor were mixed but photos were a bit grim (cleanliness and pick up/return). Trying not to spend more than £120 maybe i'm asking too much, but i just want a clean room with comfy beds (2 adults 1 child). any body stayed there? Also I priced up Manc Long stay car park and the Travel lodge recommended by Wayneg, parking on airport long stay around 90 quid...a friend of mine told me she got 16 nights parking over easter holidays for 56 quid!! how is the price so different, almost double?

Have you searched thru the link I posted for parking? parking for a 2 week holiday Meet & Greet should cost no more than £65. I have only paid £65 for 25 nights. Travelodge will probably be around £30. I have always struggled to find a triple room with parking near airport for less but I do prefer Meet & Greet service.

How does the meet and greet work? Is it them driving your car away? I'd rather keep car keys and shuttle in.

Yes, it's the way I prefer now. They take the car from drop off and bring it back on return (all warm in winter )
Meet & Greet is generally more expensive though, Park & Ride should be even less.

Thanks I think I will look into the park and ride as the Travelodge looks the nicest for value on triple room. We wont be arriving till late so don't need anything fancy just clean and comfy.

I fly from Manchester quite a few times per year on business and pleasure. I'm near Leeds so normally drive over but when staying I stay over in the Premier Inn about 2 miles away (forgot what it's called but it's on a newish retail park that has a TGI Fridays on)n it is a good choice. If you want the best parking guy ever, ex police, who I have used for a decade and has never once let me down, PM me. I've recommended him quite a few times and everyone who uses him never uses anyone else again.

Radisson Blu is the best given that it's virtually next to T2! But you do pay serious £££ for the privilege.

Hilton is nice, and five minutes away.

Premier inn is two miles away and the cheapest of the three.

Radisson is my favourite overall.
