I was talking about the higher per point cost of the smaller (50 vs 75 or more) contract added to the additional aggravation of a separate SMALL contract accounting.

IMHO, $73 pp for BWV is not too high.

The higher pp cost for small contracts comes in with closing costs - usually the buyer pays those. Closing costs spread over a small number of points can really make the pp cost high. (For example, if it costs $250 to close, that adds $5 pp to the cost if you are buying a 50 point contract. If you were buying a 250 point contract, it would only add $1 pp. Closing costs are per contract and do not vary with the number of points), I'm betting that is what Dean meant.

Now that you say that this has a $400.00 closing cost so after I actually looked at it, it makes the cost per point $81.00 per point. Have to reconsider this.

Depends on whether that includes closing and the other fees and points availability. In your situation and IMO, it would be too high for certain situations. Say it was a Dec use year with all 2005 points, you were paying the closings costs, transfer fee and maint fees for 2005. Regardless, it'd take a much better price than that to make this reasonable in the situation described and that's from one who manages 3 contracts easily.

But even at $81 per point, it's still might be reasonable if it fits your situation. But it'd have to be my use year to be worth it. Your choice though, all we can do is say what we think is reasonable and offer ideas for you to think about. Looks like we've done that.

Our closing cost for our (hopefullly) 50 point VWL resale add on is $400. Who ever thought we'd have a chance at 50 point VWL resale March use year, but there it was! so if you wait, your use year may just show up. I found that even the 50 point add on that we already had is just not enough to do what we want to do, go to VWL and sometimes stay in something other than a studio at Chirstmastime, AND share the experience with friends. This should do it!

I have tried to download Fredrickson's DVCmanager but it shows that I need to install winzip at a price of $29.00. Prior to downloading Fredrickson's DVCmanager it stated it will contain ALL of the necessary files to run DVCManager. Anyone know much about his program? Do I indeed need to purchase winzip?
