First post here! I've just booked flights to Orlando for September for myself, wife, 2 year old son, parents-in-law and brother-in-law (and wife). We really can't wait.

I love watching 'Man vs Food' on Dave and wondered if anyone knew of any 'Man vs Food' type eateries where me and my brother-in-law and try a challenge or 2. Neither of us are big eaters....I just think it'd be funny to try a challenge whilst in Orlando.

We are yet to book a Villa but have found a nice on in Davenport which I think we are going to book....so somewhere around there would be great.

Any help appreciated.

Hi and welcome

We have also booked to go in September and have stopped in villas before around Davenport.

I haven't seen or done any of those sorts of challenges but i'm sure there will be some somewhere around, I for one would love to also have a go so will keep my eye outon this thread :)

Welcome to the DIS :goodvibes

2 suggestions I have are giordanos pizza - there are a few locations in the area - we went to the one on the 535. Had a huge deep dish pizza - I managed 1 slice.

DH also had a 2lb burger at Fuddruckers at Crossroads.

I know tony romas has all u can eat ribs night on a Monday.

ihop was doing all u can eat pancakes in October (DH had them)

Lots of pics of the food on my October 2011 trip report Everything but Disney - in the trip reports forum on here (uk trip reports)

If you just want the food - all the food pics are on my thread called dining on a budget $100 a day with coupons on the food reports section on thedibb forum (mods please delete this bit if i'm not ok to mention it)

I haven't posted it on the Dis as there isn't a section for offsite dining reviews.

I think santa fe cattle company does one where you get a shirt for finishing a huge steak - there is one on the 535 but never been.

Hi great post, I think I might try the pizza one and the ribs one when we go this year.

if you just want all you can eat places, there are tons of them in orlando..

sweet tomatoes is all you can eat (and my favorite)...

olive garden usually has an all you can eat pasta special of some kind or another...(and their salad is always all you can eat)..

I am a big eater and I find many meals a challenge over there, don't come out of many hungry. Only one I can think of in recent years is Cali Grill, most meals I need recovery time :rotfl:

Thanks all for your suggestions and ideas. I'll definately be googling them and putting them in my sat nav before I go.

Wayne....I notice you are from Dewsbury. I'm from Cleckheaton myself, so hello there neighbour :wave2:

Another vote for the kitchen sink, I would like to see before and after pictures of anyone that completed that "challenge" on thier own!

This was our attempt, before and after, 3 of us couldn't eat it all. :goodvibes

Went thru Cleckheaton a few days ago to get to 3 Singhs in Bradford - recommend a meal there if you like Indian. Also have my van serviced at Clemo Citroen. :goodvibes

Yeah I've heard good things about 3 Singhs (and I live just around the corner from the Citroen Garage!)

Sounds like I'll be giving the Kitchen Sink a try then. I'll be sure to take any before and after pics of anything I try and post them on here. That gives me 9 months to start hitting the gym and getting in shape before I eat myself to death.

Love Man Vs Food myself! I believe Buffalo Wild Wings have a challenge on a Tuesday night - Eat 12 of their hottest chicken wings within a certain time limit (Not sure how long) and the wings are free...

Could be a good one to try! Especially if you are a chicken wings fan..

Fuddruckers does a 5 lb. burger challenge. If you complete it, you get an entire wall of fame to yourself. It isn't advertised, you have to ask for it specially.

DH just about managed the 2lb and lets just say he is no stranger to big portions (wears 3xl shirts)

We have also recently discovered man vs food on Dave and we are keen to visit somewhere that has featured. The closest place I found was munchies 420 cafe. If you search in google you can find the section of the program that featured this place. Adam went to the one in Sarasota and we plan to go there at Easter. Anyone else been?

Yeah, I'm gonna try the 2lb challenge next time I'm there. No way am I attempting the 5-pounder!
