Man, getting old really bites!!

I had trouble from 37-39. Now that I am 40, soon to be 41, I think it is the best thing in the world! I love being 40!

For me, it was like I had this laundry list in my head of what I needed to accomplish. I was panicky. Now I didn't quite do everything on the list but I did quit smoking which was a biggie.
Now I realize I will do things when I am darn good and ready. Also if I want something I do have the power to do it. It is all me.

I'm hitting 36 in two weeks. It freaks me out to say it. I AM GOING TO BE 36! But its better than the alternative, absolutely.

Some days I feel old and some days I feel like I still have my whole life ahead of me (which of course I do, no matter how long it is). But don't let it get you down. 34 is not so bad.

When I was a teen, I read the book 1984 in school. We all couldn't wait for 1984 to arrive to see if it was anything like the book. Well, guess what, 1984 is now 21 years ago.

You could be my baby girl if I had one when I was younger.

I only had one child, a son. He's now 12 (I was 42 when he was born).

So if you think you are getting old, think of having your first child in 8 more years. That'll keep you young.

Another 34 year old here. (and from MI too! )

If I thought about it I might feel 34 is old (I am closer to 35 at this point then 34) but really it is just another number.

And mom's can be the worst about things like that. I stopped listening to my own, and really she is normally a nice women!

Really lately I have been remodeling myself lately (not allowing my mommiehood to make me look like a mom and dress like one.) I was rather inspired by Desprite housewives actually.

Anyway I think I look better now then I did when I was 28 (before I had kids.) Of course then I think I actually tried to dress older and more frumpy since I had a job as a therapist in a mental health clinic and "young and sexy" isn't a look you strive for in that job!

I love that song, the stages of our lives are all so different and every one we are in the right place at the right now.

I may still feel like a 20 year old in my heart, but I wouldn't go back to that place for all the money, or size 2 jeans in the world (what I wore back then.)

I have to admit when the song jumps from 33 to 45 I get a little bothered.
