Can anyone tell me about their experiences here? I realize it's not going to be serious authentic Italian, but I'm just looking for an enjoyable meal.

We eat here regularly~ in spite of luke warm reviews we often find this to be one of the best meals of our trips!

We ate dinner there Dec 06, the food was pretty blah. We tried lunch there this past June and really enjoyed it. I would try dinner there again

I always take negative reviews with a grain of salt. The only one I took to heart was Ohana for dinner. I canceled my ADR there in light of all the negative reviews it has been getting. I actually swapped it out for Mama Melrose. I have read plenty of good things about it and the food looks delish!

We ate there for dinner last year and thought it was pretty good.

We ate there in Sept. 07 and we all loved it!
We had:
Artisan Breads and Spreads yummy!
Crispy Calamari
Four Cheese Flatbread
Oven Baked Chicken alla Parmesan
Spicy Italian Sausage
Tiramisu
Crema Limone
Warm Chocolate Truffle Cake
Everything was delicious! We were a little leery too because of the bad reviews. But, we took a chance and I'm so glad we did!

We ate there years ago and wasn't impressed. We tried it again last year (for Fantasmic package) and really enjoyed it. I know it gets blah reviews here, but I think they have improved...we are eating there again in January.

I ate there once a couple years ago and it was pretty good. I haven't gotten the chance to eat there again, but I would actually like to try it again. I've heard the food has actually improved so I'd say it's worth it to try it aleast.

Just ate there on 8/19 and really enjoyed it. Granted a warm, comfort meal after a day of Faye was really what we needed, but I think the pastas were great.

We ate there in December 07, during our X-mas trip. It was wonderful! Service was excellent, never felt rushed, or waited for drink refills. Our server even suggested I have a latte with my dessert, seeing as I had water to drink. (I don't think the additional $4.00 added much to his tip :lmao: , so I am sure it was a friendly suggestion.) I had the Penne Alla Vodka, my hubby had the Charred Butcher Tender Steak, for appies we had the Tossed Italian Bread Salad, and the Mozarella and Tomatoes, dessert was a little disappointment, only becasue they didn't have the Crema Limon, that I was dying try, but I made do with the Honey Hazelnut Cheescake, and my hubby had the Warm Chocolate Truffle cake. Kids all had pizza, and ate every bite! A very enjoyable expereince for us! You should try it!!:)

We there for our Dec '07 trip. I enjoyed the food and the service was the best of our whole dining experience. :thumbsup2

We ate at Mama Melrose a couple of weeks ago and thought it was one of the better meals we have had at Disney. My husband and I both got chicken parm and thought it was very good. I will definately go back again.

We ate @ MM as part of a Fantasmic Dinner package (12/2007) and really enjoyed it. We had a big party (12+) and we were all able to set at the same table (combined several 4 tops). It is not the best Italian food I have ever had but I would definitely go back.

When I ate there four years ago, the portion/cost ratio was ridiculous. But other than that, the food was good.

All these reviews are making me glad I switched today :). I thought I might get buyer's remorse so to speak, but I have no qualms now.

Then, you'll find what you're looking for! Enjoyable all the way.

Just had lunch at Mama's on Saturday 8/23/08. Delish! As always!!

I enjoyed my meal at Mama Ms. We wouldnt hesitate to go back. One thing that may have irked me a little... They don't serve bread (Ive never heard of this at an italian restaurant... Its like crispy noodles when I go out for chineese IMO) We were on the DDP that trip, so I just ordered it as my ap, and it was really nice IMO, I just wish there had been some garlic rools or a basket of breadsticks instead (that ap of breads and spreads *flew* off my table. I think if you like Olive Garden, Macaroni Grill etc...you'll be fine here.:goodvibes

We have eaten there several times with the last being this past June. We have always enjoyed out meals.
