Mama Melrose Fantasmic Package- rained out

Just wanted to give a heads up that I don't believe there is a procedure in place in case Fantasmic is cancelled. We recently purchased the Fantastmic Dinner Package at Mama Melrose. It was raining out when we sat and we asked the server what would happen if the show is cancelled. She pretty much waived off our concern and said that it's rarely cancelled and there is another show later at night. The meal was ok, a little too much butter in the pasta for my taste. However, we found out later that night that the 9 fantasmic show was cancelled due to lightening. Unfortunately, we didn't want to stay for the later show as we had a very early ADR for Tusker House the next morning and our son wouldn't be able to stay up that late. We called dining services, who told us to go back to Mama Melrose for a kind of "rain check" and the hostess there said there is nothing we could really do. Then she said, well I guess I can write another date on it, so she did that although it didn't really seem official. The night we went back we ended up booking fast passes for it because I didn't trust the fixed ticket. Furthermore, I don't even think the dining package is necessary.... we were there at a very busy time and we sat off to the side and it was still a great seat. The theater is huge and while we didn't sit in the middle (which we could have due to us spending a lot of money at Mama Melrose), I think we still had a great experience.

Long story short, make sure you check the alternate plan in case of cancellations. And, I personally would eat somewhere else as it is a waste of money in a way.
