I booked Mama Melrose for the Fantasmic dinner package and I was wondering if they still had you order from a seprate menu or not.

:rotfl2: Really if you don't mind me asking what did you have? I didn't want to do the Hollywood and Vine and I couldn't justify 2 table service credits for this one. I may have to really rethink this one for sure.

I rarely complain about food too! As with everything some people like and others don't. I am thinking it was the sauce or something. It was the worse Italian restaurant I have ever been to. DD had the pizza, I had the Penne Vodka (now that wasn't too bad..it was everything else that was), I can't remember what DH had, and DD#2 had pizza as well. The kids wouldn't even the cheese off the pizza. We all had indigestion afterwards from the little they did eat. Come to think of it, I don't think we even liked the bread and olive oil dip (normally we love that). It makes me a tad nauseous just thinking of it. I'm sorry. It's just my opinion. I usually listen to everyone's opinions and then choose myself. I went to MM at Xmas (in fact it was Xmas Day '06) against most opinions on here and wish I would have listened. I had called for an ADR at 9am that day and a 5pm was open. So that should tell you something....all restaurants were booked months in advance for Xmas.

If I were doing the Fantasmic Pkg, I'd go for one of the other 2 places. You may like MM though.

We ate at H&V and it was only 1 TS per person. Both places are good and we will be going back to Mama Melrose on 5/9.

When we ate there in September 2006 and had the Fantasmic dinner package, we had a seperate menu. It was during free dining, I'm not sure if that affected it or not.

I thought the food was very good! Of course everyone has different expectations and tastes but I've enjoyed the food both times I've dined there.

We went in Nov. 2006 (still seperate menu) and it was good. Neither of us liked the flatbread, but we both liked our entrees. I had the wood grilled chicken (SO GOOD) and DH had Chicken Parmesan.

Mama Melrose is one of our family's favorites. We have NEVER had an unpleasant experience. The calamari is delicious, esp the marinara. I always get the same thing, it's a pasta dish with mussels, shrimp, & calamari in a spicy marinara sauce. Delicious. Awesome desserts. It's a great restaurant if you're on the dining plan b/c the portions are huge! Anyway, that's our opinion of it. Better than Alfredo's in Epcot.
