Well here we are on to day 3!!!

The day started with the daily rocking chair picture. As you can see she is wearing her Ariel outfit today!! Once again we got tons of compliments on her clothes. That made a magic day even more magical!!!!! This days clothes were made by Nicole C.!! Thanks again SO much!!!!

Next it was off to the carousel to start our day!!!

Mallory made a new friend on the carousel. His name was Ethan. They were so cute together!!!

**MAGIC** There are 30 volunteers for every one paid staff member at Give Kids the World. The volunteers are so wonderful. The volunteers were so good to us!! They served us, played with us, joked with us, took great care of us, and even carried our trays. All week long we were amazed at the goodness of the people who volunteer there!!


Next it was off to the Gingerbread House for some yummy breakfast!!

Then, it was off to Universal Studios!!!

The all important height question. What will she be tall enough to ride??

Drum Roll Please... She is tall enough to ride The ET Adventure, Woody Woodpecker's Nuthouse Coaster, Jimmy Neutron's Nicktoon Blast, and the Simpson's Ride!!! Hooray!!

So off we go to ride the Jimmy Neutron Ride. It features Sponge Bob, who is a favorite in our house!!

Next, Michael and Mallory created their own Sponge Bob guys.

Then the kids planned where we should go next. I love this picture!!!

While Mallory played more with the Sponge Bob toys, Michael was off to ride the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit Roller Coaster.

**MAGIC** When Michael got back from the roller coaster he told us he got to go to a special route that took him right to the front of the line. Little did we know that this was just the start of the magic at Universal. They treat wish families very special indeed!!

Next we watched BeetleJuice's Graveyard Revue. Mallory loved it!! Then Michael wanted to see the Blues Brothers. We all enjoyed the show and Michael even danced with the Blues Brothers at the end of the show. Here he is posing by their car the Blues Mobile.

Then we went on the Simpson's Ride

Next we saw Alex the Lion and Penguins. They were just about to leave when one of the Universal Cast Members saw her button and encouraged us to the front on the line. *MAGIC*

Next we all rode the ET Ride and Michael and Mallory rode the Woody Woodpecker Roller Coaster.

Last up for the day was Mallory having a blast at the Curious George water play zone.

She got SOAKED!!! I meant to pack the swimsuit, but only had the cover-up.

So on the way home the only things dry were the bathing suit cover-up and her skirt, since she had shorts under we had taken off her skirt while she was getting wet. She used the bathing suit cover-up like a shirt.

Here she is enjoying a Churro in her only dry clothes. Check out her new souvenirs. She got an ET doll and Goddard, who is the dog from Jimmy Neutron.

Here is one of my favorite pictures of the day!!! Jason and Michael driving back to Give Kids the World. Check out Michael's souvenir. He got a small ET toy to match the ET toy he got when we went to Universal Studios Hollywood, when he was little.

Getting wet was just the best!! Mallory kept asking is it okay if I get wet. She kept asking because she was in her clothes!!! It was really cute!!!

I agree I the love ETs!!! I think it is so cute they both wanted an ET!!!

Michael was really looking forward to the ET ride!!! There is a story behind that... We used to have an ET ride at the Universal here in California, but the took it out. When I saw they had the ET ride at Universal Orlando I told Michael and we was super excited he would get to ride again!! In the end we all enjoyed it!!!

I just went back and looked at the picture with Alex and penguins, you are right, Mallory looks itty bitty!!! How cute!!!

Oh that's right...

After a SUPER fun day at Universal Studios we head back to Give Kids the World for the special nighttime event.

And what was up for the night???

Kids Night Out!!! That right!!! KIDS Night out!!

Both our kids are super independent so I knew we should try to make at least one of the 2 Kids Night Out events.

Now you might be asking, "What's Kids Night Out"? The kids at Give Kids the World are paired with a college age volunteer for a night of fun.

Mallory's friend for the night was Candace.

First up, they went to play mini golf.

Next, they watched the giant train set.

They had dinner together.

They also rode the carousel together. Finally, they went to see the Safari Double Dare Show together. At Safari Double Dare Mallory went on stage to play a game. She threw rubber chickens into giant pants. She also got to meet an armadillo!!!

As we walked around the village we ran into Mallory and Candace a few times. Mallory kept saying I don't have to go yet, do I?? She was having SO much fun!!

This was when we realized that Give Kids the World Theme Nights were SUPER important to Mallory, so we planned to be sure and be back each night for the special theme night. Originally, we thought we would stay at some of the parks until they close, but we threw this idea away when it was clear that Give Kids the World is SO wonderful!!

To end the night we went for Ice Cream.

Finally we headed to the House of Hearts. I needed to check on the college class I was teaching online. While I did that Mallory and Daddy were building!!

What a wonderful night we had at Give Kids the World!!!

hey everyone my name is leah cohen and i am the mamma of two beautiful children. rosie is almost twelve and the biggest justin beiber fan around- go team purple!! and my son ari is 8. ari was born with a rare chromosome disorder. ari has been granted a wish from the amazing make a wish foundation here in south florida. aris wish granter fran g came to our house and helped ari create a wish of a life time. ari had a wish to meet blue from blues clues his all time favorite favorite! and to color with blue. they are hoping to arrange that part of the wish. but we are scheduled for may 9th for a week to go to disney world here in orlando. we will be staying at give kids the world and we are so excited. my hubbie and i are just counting down the days! we cannot wait to see the magic in our kids eyes! i am new to disboards and i came on the get some hints and tips for how to make this trip so very magical for them and to get tips and advice. i would love to hear how other wish trippers helped to make the siblings of the wish child feel included.i would love to be a part of the big give but have no clue how, i tried to contact someone but they were not sure if they could help. they said they have alot of wish kids.............so im putting us cohen family out there to see if anyone out there had ideas on how to get involved. i did find this amazing lady named roxy on etsy and she makes tie die mickey shirts and she has so graciously decided to donate shirts for the family - i think her shop is called pixecraft so check it out she is so creative and i am forever greatful for her generosity i cannot wait till they come ari will flip out!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i am not sure how to post pics but i do have a blog i started two summers ago called myganizzyboy.blogspot.com and i think its pretty cool. anyways cant wait to make some friends on dis board and cant wait to hear if any other family might be going to disney world/give kids the world at the same time!

Yes I am back!! We got a virus on both our computers and were unable to do anything with them. Being the thirty husband he is, Jason was determined to fix it himself!!! He did it!! Okay now I am off to post Day 4!!! Stay tuned for Hollywood Studios and Epcot!! I hope all my dis friends are doing GREAT!! UPDATE -- Well after 2 hours of trying it appears I may have spoken too soon!!! I can get on the internet, but I'm having trouble accessing and uploading my pictures!! Yes GKTW was AWESOME!!!! Looking back we wish we would have spent even more time there. Mallory felt like a princess there the whole week!!

Yes she did have a GREAT time!!! Jason and I are boring!! Besides just sneaking around to see what Mallory was doing we went for dinner at the Gingerbread House at GKTW. Then we watched some TV back at our Villa.

From our experience the time at GKTW was really special!!! Of course it is just one opinion, but looking back we are so glad we had dinners and special night activities each night at GKTW. It was a highlight!!!! :

Kids Night Out is wonderful!! Like you I am super impressed at how great GKTW treats kids!! That funny you asked about Michael and Kid's Night Out. The volunteers were mostly college girls. When we went to drop Mallory off the they encouraged Michael to stay too and get a friend for the night!! He passed.
