Malaea's PJ&TR: Randy Chapman Pics/Video Blog Online; Disney Videography

Ok, vent time. We are two months out and im starting to freak a bit. I feel like I have a never-ending to-do list that just keeps getting stuff added to it.

RSVPs!!!! I mean seriously, is it that hard to RSVP?!
Of course we are still waiting on RSVPs! Can someone explain the difficulty in dropping a pre-stamped envelope in the mail!!! I mean seriously I even gave the option the email me the response. You think that 6 weeks away froma date you would know if you planned on flying 5 states away. It's not really an impulse decision. Are they going to wake up at the last minute and say, "hmmm, I think I will fly down to Disney World this week." When people say they arent sure they are so full of it. Either way mom and I have decided that if people dont get back to me by the deadline we will tell them that unfortunatly they can no longer attend. I dont think there is a nice way to put that but they have had enough advance notice. All the people I care about have already booked everyone else can send a gift and piss off. :headache:

Rehearsal Dinner!!! His parents are CRAZY and CHEAP!!!
Ok, so his parents kinda suck...they are a bit crazy. I certainly dont have the worst future inlaws in the world, but I may have the cheapest.
First they dont offer to plan the rehearsal, so I do it. Once I have everything planned they decide that a brunch should be half of what they originally told me they were giving me and the amount i planned everything on. So now I have half the money and sure as heck am not replanning it all. So we are covering the cost and then yesterday, they had the nerve to ask for an intimized cost list for the dinner! So I spent an hour last night making up a fake invoice from disney so they THINK they are paying for the whole brunch when they are covering half. On top of that...they say, "oh, we thought it would be a little less. We wanted to give you some money for your honeymoon as a wedding gift. Guess we can't afford to." THEY JUST SPENT $70,000 ON THERE HOUSE FOR NO GOOD REASON...SHE KNOWS I KNOW THEY SPENT THAT MUCH AND THEY HAVE GONE TO CANADA AND ALASKA IN THE PAST 6 MONTHS!!!. :scared1:

Tuxes
Ok just 2 words SAVVI SUCKS! Their online system doesnt update with the store. They measured the ring bearer wrong and put him down as a 42L....he is 6 years old. We have given them my DF's measurements 3 times. 2 times in person and 1 over the internet and they STILL dont have it right. And that is just the beginning. Dont get me started on the groomsmen and his dads tux. Needless to say, I spoke to Carolyn Allen's and they said that they could have tuxes for the wedding if I got all the sizes in by Saturday. So now I have to try and get $ back from Savvi and get my DF to get all the sizes from the guys again. You think he would have kept the emails from the guys with their measurements, but noooooooooo why would he do something smart like that. :sad2:

Ok, bedtime now.

I almost forgot. I wrecked our new car. We got an Element--Tonka Toy--whatever you want to call it and I think everything just got to me one morning and my reflexes decided to stop working and i smashed into a car in front of me, who then proceeded to smash into the car in front of them. :headache:

Anywho, I view that as my lowest point because when I got home I was actually happy that I got stuck at home that day because I was able to get more stuff done for the wedding. Figures :confused3 (I busted me knee up a bit so had to stay off it. Im doing better now. No one else was hurt.)

BTW
Yes- you can make fun of me for owning a Tonka Toy, box, whatever you want to call it. I call it our Heffalump. DF called it our elephant but that wasnt as fun. Our heffalump may be broken and funny looking, but she sure is useful :thumbsup2

Sorry to hear you are having trouble. I dread having to deal with people turning in the RSVP cards. I don't blame you for telling them that they can't come if they don't RSVP on time. It can be very stressful. You are in good hands with CA. We are getting our tuxes through them, and they are amazing!

Ugh, sorry to hear about your car! That's the last thing you need!

Your plans look beautiful, though. Your dress is gorgeous! And your food? Come on... DEEEElish!

OK, this may not be the most dramatic thing to comment on, given all you're going through, but...

Of course we are still waiting on RSVPs! Can someone explain the difficulty in dropping a pre-stamped envelope in the mail!!!

This also happened to us, and one guest was actually heard to say "Oh, RSVP cards are just a formality!" - like I'm going to waste a bunch of money on stamps for all those envelopes?! :headache:

Sorry about your accident! Glad your ok!

We are in the waiting for RSVP's game too! i spoke to my sister yesterday and asked her if she sent hers back- no! Well, why not! It's funny most people have made hotel reservations but no rsvp! I feel your pain!

Ok, I may just snap if I hear someone say that.

Thanks, the accident certainly sucks. Unfortunatley Most people have NOT made reservations so I really dont know.

Thanks. CA has been great so far. Im going through Savvi h_ll right now.

 Ok, I have been going back and forth with with Savvi for days now and i guess ive made enough ruckus that the president of Savvi is calling me. They refuse to refund us what we have paid. And they are the idiots that have entered the wrong info. Their website hasnt processed measurements and frankly the Savvi at Lenox Mall in Atlanta is full of way to chatty morons.

EDITED April 3.
The president of the company called me. Lets just say im getting all my dinero back.

First I should say YAY,we got our car back and it looks like new. DF is completely paranoid about me driving it but he will have to get over it.

Ok, I officially realized on Sunday that I am 6 weeks out and starting to freak out. I finally got ALL of my RSVPs in and it looks like we will have 110 people there. I know its big but its was going to be over 400 in Atlanta so this is significantly smaller. I was surprised since we invited 220. Either way woooohoooo :rotfl: Less people to talk to and pay for!

Celeste sent me a new budget which was significantly less scary. Im having to comb through it b/c im noticing things that we changed that are not changed in the new BEO. Ill be doing that today I think.

Anyway, I feel like my list just keeps on growing and it all needs to be done by next week. :scared1:

On a good note: My folks got us another night at the Floridian! So excited. We cant afford it ourselves. Im grateful.

You must be getting so excited!! It will be here before you know it!

Just finished reading your PJ! I know how you feel about the RSVPs, some of the people on my guest list say they wont know til the begining of May if they can come, so I am just including them in the budget, I would rather expect them then to have to tell them no, plus I get money back if they dont come. But my wedding is not as large as yours, we invited about 85ppl and now have about 60ppl coming.

Are you the bride that is having the cherry blossoms? cause Celeste told me that a bride requested them, and now they are going to have them available all the time, I have decided to have them.

Sorry about the accident, stress can do that to ya, it sucks, but you need to chill.

Are you coming to the Ohana breakfast on the 24th??? Its gonna be a bunch of disbrides, and some disgrooms.

Your wedding sounds lovely!:lovestruc Sorry to hear about all the drama; families can be wonderful...I look forward to hearing more!

Yes I know and Im totally freaking out. Wish I could take some time off of work to get more done. There are just not enough hours during the weekends.

Great #. I wanted that but couldnt get me folks and his to lower their number more. The way I look at it is, if we had kept in in Atlanta, we would have had about a 450 person guest list :scared1: , so this is WAY better.

Nope, thats not me. Sorry.

REALLY! I wish I could but my rehearsal is that morning :guilty: Can't really get out of that ;)

Yes, Im getting hitched at the Grand and they will do a custom wedding, but you have to ask you planner. It was actually a bit stressful narrowing down what to serve. Lets just say I will also be serving tums at the wedding :rotfl2:
We did 2 tasting which really helped. The kibbi balls took a few rounds to get right. They (the chefs at the GF) actually offered to roast the pork on a spit!! Can you believe that. I told him there was no need to go overboard. I think I disappointed him though. He was so excited about doing something different that they put a lot of time and effort into the menu.

We are very excited about the food.

Ok, we are now 4 weeks and few days out! Kinda stressing a little but mostly b.c im scared of all this fun being over with. I actually enjoyed most of this planning experience.

Anywho...This Friday we have our Catholic ceremony. It's not the legal one, that one is at WDW, but its a big deal to the inlaws and his grandmother cant travel so she will be able to see us get married in the church which is all she cares about. It's nice knowing that we will have a relaxed and personal event plus a large party event. Im grateful to be getting the best of both worlds. Is it wierd im not nervous about this Friday!!:confused3 I dont know if its b.c I know he is the one, or b.c this Friday took basically no time to plan so its not as stressful of an experience. Oh well, it's probably both.

oooooo, almost forgot! My bridesmaids dresses came in. I will post a pic of my sister in it once she gets her booty to my house to try it on. :cutie:
