Has anyone made their own Autograph book or EPCOT passport by using a Shutterfly 5x7 photo book? I just created one that looks really good, but I am not sure how the EPCOT country stamps will be on the slick paper? Will it smear? Should I not bother having it printed? I printed out my passport on notecards, but I just don't like the way it is. I wanted shiny pages and my printed ones on notecards look washed out.

Hi Maggie, Just want to say I love your book! It looks great!:cheer2: Thanks for sharing. I am sorry I can't answer your question about the ink smearing with the passport stamps. I used Shutterfly for a book I did for my mom's 70th birthday and it turned out great. Love Shutterfly!

I "think" they would smear.. But, I had a second concern -- the CM's also write a message on the 2nd page. All of the photobooks that I have ordered have pages that are thin. So, if I took a pen and wrote notes, the writing would show through on the page on the back (would be indented).

Looks really pretty, though. The flag backgrounds are supposed to be faded so the writing and stamps show up. I usually use card stock on best print settings. The kids love them. The real passports has little color at all.

I didn't think about the bleeding through issue with the writing. Hmm. I guess I could cut out little white cardstock to put in the area of the stamp, but it would defeat the purpose if I had to do that in the area where the CMs would write because then you couldn't see the flag. I wonder if vellum would work?

Maybe I should just use the notecards that I already printed out?

I know if you make a photobook at CVS, those are on actual picture paper and only on one side. So that would solve the bleed through problem, but I think the country stamps would still smear.

Any other ideas?

Maggie
