Nice warm day here today.. I think spring has arrived..

My son-in-law may go up to the lake this weekend to install the instant hot water heater and water filter he bought me for Christmas, so when he comes back I should have a better idea if there's any point in starting to pack.. I'm thinking probably not - the snowbanks were so high when he was up there a couple of weeks ago and they're solid ice - but a girl can dream - right??

Friday I'm going with my DGD to her "buy one get one free" book sale at her school.. That's always fun and I'm hoping she can find some books that I can purchase for her.. Last time she got 2 cookbooks - along with several other books - because she's very, very interested in cooking now.. Hopefully they'll have some new ones..

...and can you believe my work had the audacity to make me train a new guy today? Do they not understand that I have clique thread obligations to fulfill?! I actually wound up pawning him off on a guy whose job actually relates to what the new guy's gonna be doing (mine doesn't, at ALL) toward the end of the day just so I could get my work done, but that left me like zero time for cliquey goodness, and I am bitter about that.

So good evening, everybody! And now I'm off to drive to my parents' house because my dad's out of town and my mom is having some kind of photographic emergency that apparently requires my intervention. Back later!

I did think of Wal-Mart. We have one that's 5 minutes away, so I can try there. I also work 5 minutes from a K-mart, I might try them too. Target is at least a half hour away from home, so I don't go there often.

Ugh, tell me about it. And they've got me training AGAIN today, and again it's somebody who's not going to be doing my job anyway. Grrr. (He's at lunch now, so I can b**ch about it and not feel guilty. ) Oh, and while I'm a huge Cardinals fan, I'm an even bigger Blues fan and this guy is--get this--a Red Wings fan. If we were union, I'd SO be filing a grievance about this!

Another full day of working on my scrapbooks - the volumes from the years I have spent at the lake..

I only finished 12 today, but that's because I was really putting a lot of detail into each page; just the right captions; etc..

Came upstairs around 4 p.m. and started copying over some more recipes..

The weather was gorgeous here today - in the 60's!!!! Keeping my fingers crossed that the weather at the lake is good too so I can make the move up there before April 20th..

I really want to get into scrapbooking. I'm just not sure where to start and I have limited space to store stuff.

I have been into scrapbooking, on and off, since I worked at Michael's while going to school. That was a very dangerous place to work, seeing all of the cute new 3D stickers and accents and stuff that seemingly came in every week. Most all of my stuff is now stored down at my parents' house for times when my mom & I decide to go into a frenzy with it. It's actually been quite a while since that happened...might have to have a go at it again soon!
