I hope it works out for you. I've been lucky the past 2 days--my supervisor took a few days off. She sits in the cubie across from mine, so I have to be careful. She's cool, but she does have to be sure we're working most of the time. She's back tomorrow, but our boss is going to the sales meeting, so there will be a lot less pressure the next few days.

I really want this. But how do I get someone to give it to me for my birthday? It's not something you'd see in a store, it's from Tupperware. I just love it & could use it just about everyday. Maybe I should just buy it for myself, LOL.

Yay for that! I'm lucky in that I have an absolutely enormous cubicle, like it's big enough for a big C-shaped desk, shelves and file cabinets, and 2 chairs sitting across from the desk for visitors or whatever. I'm guessing it's probably 10' x 10' and almost has a 4th wall (with a cutout door, obviously) AND no one sits across from me (I have a hall that's about 40 feet long and then a window that looks directly into an office across the street) AND my boss frequently works from home. I'm hoping desperately to get hired by the bank full-time (I'm a contractor now) so I can work from home too. Then I'll have all the time in the world and this clique will hopping.

Missy, I say buy the Tupperware for yourself or, if you've got a friend with whom you're close enough for this sort of thing, issue some not-at-all-subtle hints.

Your cubie sounds awesome! Mine is bigger than I used to have (and for many years, I didn't have any, so even a small one was an improvement). I have a window that looks onto 8th Avenue in NYC--and I can see Madision Square Garden from it. Not as pretty as a park, but it's still neat. My supervisor is pretty cool about stuff, but still she's in charge, so I don't want to abuse my priveledge, KWIM?

Hope the bank hires you full time--I need help keeping this thread going!

In the spirit of Opening Day rapidly approaching, I thought I'd post this masterpiece that someone created just after the last snowstorm we had here, back in February. It's in the footprint of old Busch Stadium; I can't even begin to guess how big those letters are. One of our managers who transferred in from Chicago was NOT happy.
