Making t-shirts for my kids (didn't know where to ask this!)

The pictures came from the print studio, could have never been able to get the mickey on the back that large with clip art of the web. The letter is "mickey" font I downloaded from http://www.momscorner4kids.com/fonts/ and I just typed it out in Word.

I am trying to figure out what my next "project" is going to be. Probably a Mickey Christmas Sweatshirt or Tshirt.

I was just talking to a t-shirt guy (pro) about doing transfers onto colored shirts. He said it doesn't work well. Clearly, you had no problem. What's your secret??

Thanks!

Michelle

WDW2002: Thanks for posting the photos of your great jacket and the link for fonts. VERY impressive & inspiring!

I picked them up at the office supply store, but Kmart has them also...

Thanks CdnMom2

I bought my lime green t-shirts ranging in size from XXL to a little XXS to fit my 2 year old at www.cheaptshirts.com. They where nice shirts and inexpensive. Works great when you need to buy 11 like I did.
Good luck and have fun with it!

Hmmmm, I clicked on the link and it came up on some weird page and I didn't know what to select to get to the t-shirt area.

Any input, Bill?

It appears that link doesn't work anymore. I dont know why. I am positive that was the website. Oh well. I imagine if you do a search for cheap t-shirts you will find numerous online vendors.
Sorry about that. I was hoping ot use them again next year becasue they stocked lime green t-shirts!

They changed their name but this is the same place I got mine from.

If you selct on the Hanes t-shirts and scroll down to Style 5280 the Heavyweight 100% cotton 5.6oz t-shirt, that is the one available in lime green. If you order a dozen they are pretty cheap. You can mix and match sizes also.
Hope this helps!

Another issue, though!! I just bought a pack of transfer paper. The directions say that "ink from inkjet printers is not washable" HUH???? I know I have a shirt made this way and I wash it all the time and it's fine. Why would they make a product to make t-shirts that can't be washed?

I do have some paper from a t-shirt making software kit that does specify that it's machine washable. I'm so confused!!

Thanks!

Michelle

Thanks for the link to the wholesale site! The prices are really good, esp. if you buy in bulk. :Pinkbounc

I just turn my homemade shirts inside-out before I wash them. Maybe when it said its not washable it means that it doesn't wash off??? You know like how washable markers can wash off so nonwashable would mean it doesn't wash off.

Can anyone point me at the website where they used clipart? Specifically, I am looking for multiple characters, like the Fab 5.

Thanks!

Feel free to e-mail or PM.

It is funny that I came across this post....My school is having a family night out and we decided to let the kids make their own t-shirts I went to office-max and got the Iron on T shirt transfer paper it has 25 transfer per package, ($19.99 buy one get one free)I did a try-out with some old tshirt and wash and dried it Guess what!!! no problems it wash nicely the ink did not run Put it in the dryer inside out also no problems....

This has a lot to choose from. A search on google for dinsey clip art will pull up a lot more sites.
Have fun!

Bill

Yeah I did that search but I couldn't really find the Fab 5 in a big enough pic. Thanks.

I used the one that has Mick, Min, Pluto and Donald. It's a nice group only missing Goof. It is under the groups, of non-movie characters from the website i gave before.
