Making Ressies in the Disney Collection

I made my first ressie for the DLH! I was just wondering if we get some sort of packet info, confirmation (besides the # they give you) or anything before you go. I know when I make my ressie at WDW for next Sept I would expect at least the ME stuff (assuming that doesn't change before then of course).

Just wondering what type of info we get when we make ressies through MS. TIA!!

We've booked a week stay at the Port Orleans resort through points a couple of months ago and we didn't get anything in the mail.

You will receive the standard letter in the mail with your dates, resort and confirmation/reservation number. Then at check in, you will receive the usual Welcome Home packet of information. When we stayed on points at the GCH this past June, our DVC Rep happened to be at the DLR, called us on our room phone and left a message that we could come by the DVC Center there and get some free fastpasses. Very handy! And incidentally, you will love the DLH, we have had five wonderful stays there through the years, its truly a magical hotel to stay in!

This is our first time staying at DLH. DH has always wanted to stay there since he was a little boy. So as soon as we bought our DVC, we knew the first place we would come is DLH. We are planning a trip to WDW later next year. I can't wait!

I think I got the confirmation letter within a couple of weeks. If you don't get one soon, I would call ms to make sure they have your reservation set and ask them when you will receive confirmation. As for our rep calling, I think many reps do this, they must have some sort of tracking system for their clients. In fact, she had also called us and left a voice mail at Boardwalk back in April, welcoming us home and telling us to call if we had any questions or concerns. This was new to us since our orginal rep was an idiot and certainly never did anything like that. Its been a nice change having her assigned to us. I have read of other disboarders who's reps call them when they stay on points. Its a nice perk but apparently not too consistent. You said your rep is now at DL, I wonder if we have the same one?

I think the DLH is very magical. I can't put my finger on it, but it really is just my favorite hotel anywhere. But I hope I'm not building it up too much! Have you visited the Disneyland board on disboards? Mary Jo one of the moderators has many nice pictures of the DLH on a sticky thread at the top of the page about the accomodations/resorts of Disneyland.

Thanks for the info It has been a little bit since I made the ressie, so I will call next week.

Our rep is Jerre, she was just wonderful to us when we bought (in May 06 so I am NEW! ). I kept asking questions and she patiently answered them all, and throughly!

Yeah I have been to the DL board. I spend a a lot time on DVC and DL boards it seems. I get so much great info from here, things I wouldn't even think to ask! Thanks again!
