Making potato salad can be hazardous

I had an accident making the potato salad today. I went to drain the potatoes and the water spilled on the edge of the counter and burned my stomach. I did a pretty good job of burning myself.

Cooking can be hazardous. I think next time I will let my daughter drain the potatoes. I thought careful was my middle name.

I've done the same thing. I have also reached into the oven and pullled a pan out...without an oven mitt!!

My mom did the same thing at Easter, but it was a little bit higher than her stomach. The pot started to slip and she tried to catch it.
