Making Memories Embellishment Storage Box

I just bought 2 of them and I was wondering if anyone has decorated theirs? Since they are just coated with white paper I was thinking of painting them a different color. Has anyone painted theirs and done any other decorations?

I have one but I haven't tried decorating it- in fact I just got it and haven't even but anything in it yet.
