That does make it kinda specialer doesn't it? ;)

Hey... REAL friends who aren't imaginary ~ how do you likey my new Woody in my siggie? Monymony gave him to me, isn't she so nice? I  it!

NOT AN UPDATE BUT RATHER A REQUEST FOR OPINIONS!

Now ya'll know that we have moved up our departure date by 2 days! :yay: The thing is, I had already made our countdown calendar that would end on Thanksgiving Day. I arranged it so that the days lined up with where they would fall on a regular calendar. For example, the calendar starts on a Wed. which would be the 24th of Oct. which is 30 days before Thanksgiving. Here is a picture of the calendar so you can understand this jibberish I've been typing!

IMG_0522.jpg

Isn't it perty?

So what I would like your opinion about is should I:

A. Start it on the day I was going to start it? If I choose this option then we will leave with 2 days left on the calendar! If I try putting that thing in the car Tom will have me committed.

~or~

B. Start it 30 days before the new departure day? If I choose this option the days on the countdown calendar will not be in the correct "regular calendar" place. Such as the first day will be a Monday even though it is in the Wed. place. Would this bother anyone but me?

:confused3

So, let know what you think!

p.s. If you are a DisneyDad follower... that is my postcard there at the bottom! Cool, huh?

I vote B. It would bother me more to have two days unused. Although you could always try to convince your DH that it is the new sun visor :lmao:

UPDATE HERE!

Day two... Nov. 22. Thanksgiving!

Sleep in.
Watch parade.
Eat turkey and stuffing!
Sleep off tryptophan.
Have some pie.
Watch football.
Go to bed early ... we're going to Disney World!!! :yay:

That about sums it up!

 I'll post day 3 after I get done catching up on my other threads!
See ya in a bit!

Sounds like a great day 2:thumbsup2

Hey... REAL friends who aren't imaginary ~ how do you likey my new Woody in my siggie? Monymony gave him to me, isn't she so nice? I  it!

He is so cute, I wish I could pick him up and pinch him:rotfl2:

Now that's an idea! Would I get into trouble? I know there all these rules about siggies! I'll have to look into that!

I just recenlty lost my 20 points from my siggie violation.

Count how many lines your siggie is ? If you put Buzz rightg next to Woody, you should be fine. You are only allowed 12 lines in your siggies I Believe, or was it 15, now I forget:rotfl2:

You are allowed 3 images....right now you only have two:

1. Woody
2. Ticker
3..Nothin at the moment

Your bounching Mickey Pumpkin does not count as it is seasonal:thumbsup2

I think you should start at the actual day you are leaving on your countdown, as long as it inot a lot of work. If it , I say Just leave it alone. It looks great

Cool Postcard:thumbsup2

I would start when you planned because the "not lining up" part would bug me! However, I would also rig it up in the vehicle somewhere! Hang it up in the trunk or hatch lid! Out of the way, but cute and accessible!:thumbsup2 By the way, I love the coutdown, very cute!:thumbsup2

Good Lord, we were separated at birth! The not lining up thing IS going to drive me nutso! :scared: I know that I should not be so type A about it and just do it 30 days before we leave but there's that little part of me that is just not gonna let it happen! Maybe I can pry them off and re-glue them! Yeah, all 30 of them! Darn me for using a craft gluestick when I had removeable scrapbook tape I could've used!

And thanks... I'm glad you like it! I let the boys stick all the extra little pictures/clippy art stuff on ~ which was all courtesy of the Disney Movie Club. They wanted to help with the MHPC's and I sort of let them... I stuck it on and let them tap on it to "make it stick"... where I wanted it! WHO is this trip for anyway???

Well... I was going to try and post a real update today but it just didn't happen. I've got an early morning tomorrow so I'm heading to bed. See you all tomorrow!!!

peace out... :hippie:

Ditto - what she said! :rotfl:

Your Woody is sooooo cute!!!! ::yes::

I would start it when you were going to start it. I would get a twitch every day when I looked at it if the days didn't match up!

I vote A. You know Tom won't really have you committed, so go for it!

Thank you all for voting! I chose ...................

neither option! I took all the numbers off and repostioned them so that now we have a 28 day countdown calendar! That left 2 mickey's at the end. On the second to last one I wrote "Leave for Gramma's" and on the last one I wrote "C'ya Real Soon Mickey!". Badda-bing-badda-boom, problem solved! Now there will be no twitching and no straight jackets!

:thumbsup2

UPDATE HERE!

Day 3, Nov. 23… AKA ARRIVAL DAY!!! :woohoo:

It is a one and a half hour drive from Gramma’s to WDW. We will rise and shine, eat breakfast, tell Gramma we’ll see her in a couple days and hit the road. I’m hoping by 9 am, but if it’s later than that, no worries. I don’t want this day to be a rushed day. The whole point of leaving two days early is to get to WDW raring to go… not exhausted like we would have been if we had driven down this day. I’m looking forward to seeing the Mickey utility pole along the way! Maybe Carla could post her pic of it on here? (I don’t want to just swipe it from her!)

We cannot check into the condo until 4pm. I’ll probably call when we get closer and see if that is just a guideline or etched in stone.

The sole purpose of today is getting to Epcot! I expect it to still be busy with folks there for Thanksgiving. A CM told me that the crowds would lessen considerably on Sunday. :thumbsup2 What I want to do this first day… our first time in Epcot… is to get our bearings. Get the lay of the land, if you know what I mean! Since we will have two days to explore I am thinking we will explore Future World today and World Showcase on Thursday.

Things we MUST do in FW include:

Spaceship Earth
Test Track
Nemo and Friends/Turtle talk
Soarin’
Living with the Land
Honey I Shrunk the Audience
Ice Station Cool (anyone want some Beverly?)

Things we MAY do:
Mission: Space
Ellen’s Energy Adventure
Innoventions

Where we eat dinner and how late we stay will be dependent on whether or not we can check in early at the condo. Or maybe we’ll leave, check in and go back and spend the evening and watch Illuminations? Just not sure. :confused3 We may have to (gasp! ) wing it!

One thing I’ve been doing to prepare for the trip is collecting little tidbits of info that I want to remember when we get to each park. You read so much and then you get there and forget! One thread I’ve been reading on here is “Your best WDW Secret”. It is filled with things that you may or may not find in any of the guide books. It’s like 968574635879095587 (Tat ;) ) pages long now but I read the whole thing! Anyway… as I came across something that I thought was interesting I copied and pasted it into a Word doc. Then when I was finally done, I printed them, cut them out and glued them onto colored index cards, punched a hole and stuck them on binder rings. Epcot cards are blue, MK are pink, MGM are purple, AK are green and extra info on yellow. I’m also writing our ADR info on these cards. Then when we hit a park I can just grab the cards we need for that park! Here is a pic of my card system.

The things I have listed to do or look for in FW are:
1. The shooting water fountains.
2. The talking water fountains.
3. The sidewalks that twinkle at night.
4. Ice Station Cool
5. The pathway between Imagination and Ice Station Cool that plays music when you step on it.
6. Something good to know: the Fountain View restaurant has good frozen juice drinks. (My kids love icee’s!)
7. At Finding Nemo, the sea gulls by the sign chirp “mine, mine!” if you stand in front of them long enough.
8. I have also noted to check the times guide for Mickey’s Tree Lighting Ceremony.

While I am sharing my organizational skills  ~ here is a pic of the file folder thingy (yep, it's a technical term! ::yes:: ) that I have been keeping lots of important stuff in!

IMG_0529.jpg

It has our personalized maps, MVMCP tix, park tix, sea world map and tix, condo info, that list on stuff at each exit... All very good stuff! :thumbsup2 It is basically the epicenter of our trip planning process! Because I know Sharky will want to know: The label says "DISNEY 2007 WOOHOO DISNEY 2007 WOOHOO DISNEY 2007 WOOHOO"! :woohoo:

Hopefully we will have a good first day!
Hopefully the fast passes won’t be all gone by the time we mosey on in!

The next day will be spent at MGM!

That's it, I am taking you on my next trip! You can organize everything for me! Seriously, I am not that disciplined. You rock!:goodvibes
