Making dining reservations in advance

Hi everyone if this has been asked before I'am sorry for asking again. We are booked for Dec. 2011 and they told me on the phone we could make dining reservations 6 months out, but some coworkers that have been to Disney said you could book online way before the 6 months than they told me on the phone is this true?

If you are a guest staying at one of the WDW resorts, you can make all of your dining reservations for the length of your stay (up to 10 days) at 180 days from your arrival date.

Not so, you can book online, but it's still 180 days out. If you have an onsite resort reservation you can get up to a 10-day jump on some reservations, because you can make all reservations up to 10 days of your vacation on the 180-day mark from your first day.

It is not 190 though. You can never book 190 days out.

As the PP said, if you are an on-site guest, on the 180th day out from your trip start date, you can book 10 days worth of reservations. I believe there has recently been some kind of glitch in the online booking system where that +10 wasn't working, but it has worked in the past. If it's not currently working, it should be temporary. And you can call on the phone if you want to use the +10 advantage for on-site guests.

And you don't have to have a Disney package, just be staying @ a Disney resort.

This is NOT correct. You can begin to make adrs 180 days before your check-in day and can book up to 10 days after that date when you call. This is only for those staying at WDW resort. You cannot book at 190 days out.

P.S. We like to eat at 6m and are going to pick at least 3 choices per nite do you think thats doable?

What? I don't understand what you're saying - I hope you don't mean you are going to book 3 TS reservations for each night of your trip and decide later, or anything like that? But I think I'm just not understanding what you wrote.

No No I mean we are going to have 3 places picked out so when I call (I perfer to do things on the phone instead of online) and maybe my first choice is full then I will ask about my 2ND and 3RD choices for 6pm dining

Not sure if you are aware or not but you can begin booking online at 6 am est, but when calling you have to wait until 7am est.

I have called and booked at the 190 mark...not sure about online though!
