When my DH and I cruise next month we plan to book onboard a 7 day Western cruise if Disney is still offering a discount and shipboard credit. We know we want to cruise in October 2007, but since they aren't taking reservations that far ahead, do we book for, say, October 2006 (knowing full well we won't be cruising until Oct. 2007), and then transfer this reservation to a TA (and keep the discounts, credits)? I know this has been addressed before, but I wasn't quite sure of the actual steps to do this. Thanks for any guidance!

I hope I can help a little. We just got back from a March 5th cruise and booked another 7nt for Sept 2006. We hadn't really planned on it and have never booked that far in advance but we didn't have too much to lose. So this is what we were told:

We were really interested in a different itinerary so we took the 2 days at Castaway and Mexico...still want something different so we might even go later than that since the 2007 itinerary wasn't out yet. The rep said that we could change our dates but as far as the discounts and onboard credit it would change if the offer changed.

Currently it is 10% and $200 shipboard credit so if we changed let's say in April 2006 for March 2007 and the deal was 5% and $250 credit that's what we'd get or at least that's what we were told. Hope I am not confusing???

I would double check w/ the rep.

Have lots of fun!!!

We just cruised in Feb. Planning a 2007 cruise, rates not out, etc.

We rebooked on board, and were told the following...
"Rebook as far out as possible. Keep in mind the cancellation penalty date. Anytime before that, the date can be changed, and the discount we got would apply to the rate at the time we went to go."

The only stipulation was it had to be a seven night carribean cruise.

We booked for December 2006, and as soon as the 2007 rates come out, we will change our reservation to Feb 2007, and will get 10% off and a $200 per room credit.

Hope this helps!

We were on the March 5th cruise this year and booked two staterooms for March 11 2006. We ended up downgrading our stateroom category from a 4 to a 6 and got to keep the 10% discount and the stateroom credits. I was told on board if we needed to make changes that we could since I as concerned about my daughters school schedule. There is also a 100% refund if you cancel at least 75 days in advance. Good luck!
