Hi there,
We're heading to the World this fall for our first trip in 3 years. I've always had good luck getting ADR's for previous trips over the phone, but now the website is available. Can anyone comment on the differences/preferences between making reservations over the phone vs. the website? Is one better than the other?

Thank you! :)

The website opens an hour earlier than the dining line.

Plus, when you just go online, you do not have to spend the first 20 minutes giving all kinds of personal info - name, address, phone number, DOB, names of everyone traveling with you, ages, blood type, boxers or briefs, favorite color, high school you attended, your pet's names, time of your last bowel movement, political party affiliation, shoe size, Ginger or Mary Ann, etc.

I made online RSVP's for the 1st time online today.

Last time we went to Disney was in Summer 09' when they were just starting online RSVP and the system was very up and down.

I loved doing it online, I just logged on and put in my date, party size and time. You can put in to search certain resurants or you can view everything avaliable. I loved being able to see one list comparing what is avaliable and what time openings there are.

Also online it searches in 3 hour hour windows, so rather than having to give a certain exact time, it shows you what is avaliable slightly before and after your target time.

I wasn't able to get one i was looking for. And I was supprised when I called, it was pretty much an entirely automated system asking me the same info I put in online with the same results, not avaliable.

Then only after I spent all that time going through the prompts did it even give me the option to talk to an agent, which did take 10 mintues of giving all our info to check one RSVP.

I prefer online. Make sure you link your resort reservation if you want +10 and or dining plan to be used.

You can even book Fantasmic and other special Dining Events online.

We are DVC, do I need to add our DP before I make my reservations online ?

How do you link the resort reservation when you are making your adrs?

Sounds like the consensus is to make the ADRs on the web. I'll give it a try! Thanks, all!!
