Ok, so I'm totally freaked out about making my ADRs for our trip. Tomorrow is our 180 days out and was wondering if I should be on the phone as soon as the call center is open tomorrow morning or if I can wait a little later in the day since we aren't really trying to get any "speciality" reservations? Also, does anyone have any idea where I could find out the hours for the different restaurants? Would it be better if I wanted the first in the morning reservation at a place like Chef Mickey's to ask for the first time they have available for our party????

If you want Chef Mickeys for any time please call 1st thing in the am. We just got back from out trip last week and could not get it in to CM's and Disney was empty when we were there. So if you have your heart set on it please call 1st thing at least for that ressie. The Cast member told me since the DDP Chef Mickeys was booked all the time. Let me put like this we were able to get LeCellier no problem 3 weeks out but no CM's

Good Luck!

Don't freak out. The Disney Cast Members will be well able to talk you through everything.

If you want to call first thing in the morning you can. But the lines will be fairly crowded so you'll probably be on hold be quite a while. Except for a holiday reservation, I wait until after lunch to call when the lines have quieted (I don't like waiting on hold for very long).

I do exactly what you want to do. If I want an early lunch (I don't do breakfast and I'm sleeping then!), I ask for the earliest lunch time they have. Same thing if I want a late lunch.

It's really simple. Have your list of restaurants, your time choices, and your dates. Also know if you can slide your choices earlier, later or to a different day if necessary. Then call and you should be done.

I make my list, starting with the one I want the most. I try it for the day I want it, if its not that day I start to play with the list.

I know I want Le Cellier on Monday at dinner. They dont have it, I look for the next day I would be willing to go there untill I can snag it.

So I go in order of the priority I want to eat at. And fill in the list by day as I go, keep your ADRs numbers with you when you go to eat. Once they couldnt find me as my name was spelled wrong. With the number they could pull it up and we were in.

Its easy.

I'd call early, but not right away if you don't want.

Have a list of your days and restaurants and preferred times - if there is something that is difficult to get, you may wish to have a backup in mind. Have a pencil and have your resort confirmation number.

In the past (maybe its changed) to get the system going you had to give the 180 reservation first - i.e. they couldn't book CRT for 190 until they booked SOMETHING at 180. So just go down your list. Party size, time, date, any special needs. Be prepared for the "talk" at the end of each restaurant ('park admission is not included' 'allow sufficient travel time' 'this restaurant is business casual') They will give you a confirmation number, write it down, move onto the next.

Very occasionally you'll get a pill of a CM who isn't pleasant - call back and try again.

I like "first available" character meals, but we tend to be an early rising family anyway. Other people like "last available" breakfasts and make it into brunch. Up to you and how you enjoy touring.
