Making ADR for different party size

I'm going on a solo trip in a couple of weeks so am a party of 1. I just talked to Dining about getting an ADR at Spoodles (to replace my Teppanyaki reservation). Nothing available until very late. I then asking about Spoodles for our trip in early Dec (my husband and I, party of two). At first there were a few times but then she said that she could seat us at a four top and then there were a large number of times. She said it is easier to get a ADR for a party of two than it is a party of one at this restaurant because of how they do their seating.

How bad would it be for me to get an ADR for a party of two and then when I show up, just tell them that I ended up on my own for dinner? I don't care if they sit me at a two top or a four top, but I would like to get in.

It is a flaw...maybe flaw is the wrong word...but just an issue with the restaurant seating system. Almost ALWAYS if you make a ressie for one, you will be at a table for 2 or 4...the system just really doesn't have many tables for 1...the computer can only do what you tell it to do.

I would feel very comfortable booking for two and then showing up by yourself...it is when you book for 4 and show up with 5 that you have a problem. Enjoy yourself.

You should have no guilt booking a party of 2 when you only need 1. Enjoy!

You will need to wait for the next table for one. Just Kidding. I am pretty sure that the smallest table you could possibly get was for two anyway. No worries/Hakuna Matata.

It would only annoy me if it was at a CS restaurant. It's so annoying when singles orr couples take all the huge tables when there are plenty of small ones. We are stuck frequently as a party of 5 becasue this happens. But this is just CS-You are perfectly alright at a TS.

I actually had a CM recommend I make a reservation for a party of 4 at another restaurant because it was easier to get than a table for 2.
